The best movers I have ever worked with. Very professional and knows how to wrap furniture. I have a white couch and not a spot on it. Just as white as before the move.

I am very, very pleased with Smooth City! I was freaking out because we had movers from another company move our furniture and they told me that they could not get three integral pieces into the room where they needed to be. I reached out looking for help via Thumbtack at 11:30pm and Smooth City answered right away! We chatted back and forth about what I needed and the challenges of the job and made arrangements for 3 guys to come out first thing in the morning. The arrived (early) with a great attitude. Getting the pieces where they needed to be was NOT EASY. It required a lot of problem solving, strategizing, and commitment. I felt like it could be done as long as the people working on it felt that quitting was not an option, and that is what I got. They got the pieces where they needed to be and I cannot be happier. I can't thank them enough!

If I could give more stars I would! They helped my family pack, load, and unload my late mother in laws belongings from her house in such a timely manner I was in shock. A three bedroom house completely moved, packed, and ready to go in 4 hours. PACKED I SAY! And they actually take care of the stuff they are packing. They wrapped the book cases and couches so nicely that when we arrived at my house to drop them off I felt like I was unwrapping brand new furniture. Not a single thing broken, misplaced, or anything. Everything was so well taken care of. The movers that helped us were an absolutely pleasure to be a around! They helped my little brothers pack and assemble his bed, played catch with him and listen to his football stories while trying to move everything. They care about their customers and they care about what’s important to them. All I can say is, this company is the absolute best at what they do and there’s no doubt about it.

I had this giant china hutch and a coffee table not pictured to move and calling being able to get Dawson an Breck to come on the same day last min was a miracle. The move was smooth these guys broke down the furniture within minutes had it wrapped and loaded an ready to go. My coffee table is made of stone an Dawson scooped it up like a cardboard box that’s when I knew the right team was on the job I’ll be using them in the future.

They were great. Not much else to say. Moved my stuff and had a few hours to spare so they suck around and helped me put some furniture together and place it. Good dudes and hard workers.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
With any job there is a required one hour deposit, and a 3.00 hour minimum at our agreed upon hourly rate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will talk over the phone and go over the details of your move to get you an educated estimate. If you choose to hire us we are happy to help. After that, we will come and perform your move. At the end of your move we receive your final payment, shake hands and let you be on your way!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent a year in WA with a large moving company as a team lead and driver. At the same time, I was also working with a moving start-up for about 4 months before moving to VA. That start-up is now expanding from Washington State to Wisconsin.
