FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My introduction to photography was through sports. I grew up playing hockey and traveling a lot. I picked up a camera and just started having fun with it. Seeing the world through a rectangle gave me an appreciation for the art of it. When I was in high school, I did a couple projects for the yearbook. I liked it enough that when I moved to California, I took classes in college. I was living in Arizona when I got a break and got to assist the Diamondbacks photographer with MLB. I got to work on some very exciting work with Topps baseball cards, the cactus league, concerts at the ballpark and many other interesting projects. It was there where I learned the most working with photographers from Reuters, the AP, NFL as well as the NHL. It really gave me the push I needed to go out on my own. Without that knowledge, experience, and support I wouldn't be here today.

- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Take a look around and never settle. There are many photographers out there. For the most part, what you see is what you get. Make sure you like their work. Ask yourself if their style fits both of your style as well.
