FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My typical fee is $75 for each 50 minute session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working through Thumbtack or directly via text/phone, I arrange for clients to meet me in my home office for an initial visit. The first session is typically devoted to the client or couple sharing what has brought them to reach out for help, and me sharing about my general counseling philosophy. By the end of the first session, it is typically very clear if future sessions will be a good fit for us.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have five units of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) which amounts to a highly specialized training to listen, attend, and shepherd people through their various relational, emotional, and cognitive issues. Each unit lasts three months and has a minimum of 300 hours of pastoral care visits/counseling and 100 hours of education with a highly trained and experienced clinical supervisor. I also have a Master of Divinity degree which required 120 semester hours to complete. This training included courses such as pastoral counseling, ethics, and Biblical interpretation and application. Additionally, I am a member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.
