About this pro

How does your service stand out?

At Studio 1:27 our goal is not just to teach dance and go home. We want to help you grow - as a dancer, in your relationships with people, and in your relationship with the Lord. We aim to provide a safe, nurturing place for children to be trained with a knowledge of how to use the fine and performing arts for God, not just for self. We desire to help couples strengthen their marriages through a fun class that encourages them in their God-given roles, both on the dance floor and off.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

There's not much we don't love about it! We love teaching. We love dance. We love being together, working and playing side by side. We love little ones, watching friendships develop, making new friends, and seeing marriages strengthened. We love dancing, performing, and planning recitals. We love how excited little girls get when they get to try on their tutus for the first time. We love to see students get that "aha!" moment when they finally "get" a step. We absolutely love what we do.

Q&A

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We take classes from other teachers, at different studios, and at workshops, in order to keep growing as dancers and teachers.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
Because our classes are so varied, our pricing structure is as well. For group ballroom classes we charge $40/individual or $65/couple for each 8-week session. Private lessons are more expensive, but your first private lesson (as a single or a couple) is always free. This is a 45-minute lesson. (Rescheduling less than 48 hours ahead of time voids the complimentary class.) If you're interested in enrolling yourself or your child(ren) in our regular sessions of ballet, tap, etc., please contact us for current offerings and pricing. We offer multiple-student discounts as well as refer-a-friend rebates.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Our homeschool classes are very popular, since they're run during the day. We also have lots of students who want to learn to dance for a wedding (theirs or a child's). Our couples' beginning ballroom classes are also popular. Especially the ones we hold in churches for their married couples. It's a great way to connect (or reconnect), strengthen marriages, and have fun together. And a lot more affordable than marriage counseling!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Comparison shop! Look at several other studios in the area to find out what they offer, how much they charge, etc. Determine which one will best fit YOUR needs and go with that studio.
