    I would like to express about my recent move with Pick Up Movers. They have recently moved me and it has been a wonderful experience. They are very professional and know how to treat their customers with great respect. They were really committed to their word and services. The crew showed up on time and finished the job as estimated and expected. Pierre, the sales representative was wonderful. He goes above and beyond in order to accommodate and help his customers. The movers were very nice and efficient and know how to use their time wisely. I will definitely use them for my future moves and highly recommend them to anybody looking for quality moving services.

    I have worked with numerous moving companies but none of them were as good as Pick Up Movers. This company employs the best movers in the business. I know that because it takes the best to transport all my belongings from one state to another without breaking or damaging a thing. It was such a privilege working with these guys. They were punctual, helpful and very capable for this job. They packed everything with great care and it paid off during the delivery. Even the delivery was made on time. They were inexpensive too.

    The movers from Pick Up Movers simply didn’t give me a chance to worry about a single thing. They were great at every aspect. From their low quote to the movers unpacking everything- it was just effortless. They stuck to the quote at the end which is quite rare for moving companies. The movers were all very strong men who displayed amazing skills and strength. I’m not the most easily impressed kind of person. But these guys pleased me beyond any imaginations.

    This was a huge relief because my initial move to Ashburn, VA was a huge disaster. So disastrous that we were very skeptical about ever using another moving company ever again. Pick Up Movers restored our trust in moving companies. We received on-time, reliable and honest updates from our agent Frank. The delivery guy updated me a day before the delivery arrives and called me again 30 minutes away. The people in the office and the field people are accurate and very polite. I don't have any problem with these people and I am willing to refer them to my colleagues and friends.

    Pick Up Movers made sure all my valuables reach my new house in great shape. They certainly had the right tools and the correct attitude for the job. The movers were very punctual and their customer service was very promising as well. The quote I got initially was very low considering the other estimates given by different moving companies. The final bill came under the estimate which made me so happy. None of my things suffered a single scratch and I was very impressed. I recommend this company wholeheartedly.

    The best moving company!
    Stop looking for other movers. If you spend $1 on moving with anyone else you are completely wasting your money. I contacted Frank with Pick Up Movers llc Thanks to my best friend that moved with them few months ago from MD to LA. Frank was the most responsive person I have ever worked with. He literally answered me back within seconds and our deal was solidified within a few minutes. Max and his crew showed up on time ( I was actually late, sorry). He got to work right away with his 3 helpers. They works very fast and they are extremely friendly. so professional- We had a couch that we needed to get out of our downstairs. It was "impossible" to move according to another company who quoted the job. Max took the couch and hoisted it under his own power over a railing that was about 14 ft. high. We got the couch out with no damage. Unreal! I probably saved $500 going with Pick Up Movers! Don't use anyone else for long distance moves, if you do, you should basically put your hard earned cash in a ball and ...

    Terrific!
    I had heard horror stories about long distance moving so I shopped several companies. I hired Pick Up Movers because Pierre explained to me the valuation policy and the accountability of the movers to my belongings. The other companies would only guarantee .60 cents/pound. Pierre's estimate for our 4 bedroom house was accurate and the movers were all professional. I was never afraid. They worked hard and fast ,after 2 days they delivered my belongings to FL.I haven't unpacked everything yet, but so far, not one thing is broken. Alex, Wali and the crew were terrific!

    Extremely careful
    Pick up movers were extremely careful with our belongings, making sure that nothing would get nicked or dented or dinged. They worked efficiently. We had a team of five to load us, two of whom drove down from VA to FL.The co-workers that they expected here were no-shows, which could have but did not translate into bad attitudes.They were cheerful and pleasant throughout. Price-wise we felt we received good value for our money!! :) (...but a little cheaper would have gotten 10stars if possible) Would we use them again, if we had to move? Absolutely!! Would we recommend them to others? Without hesitation!!!

    Moved furniture and boxes from VA to FL. Initial team showed up late and were extremely slow - took them 12 hours to wrap load up two rooms of furniture and 20 boxes into truck. However, they were extremely efficient in protecting the furniture. The team who unloaded the furniture in FL were fantastic - every efficient, courteous and quick. Warning - they will only accept cash or money order for remaining balance upon arrival at new address.

    After making sure sevetal times to set the Delivery date, it was delayed over 5 days, had to cancel vacations overseas... sales person was fantastic to sell the contract but at the time all delays happen, he did not make any attempt to help. Didn't offer any courtesy discounts even though we have had to cancel our vacations, to the contrary they wouldn't unload the truck unless they have ensured payment was received.

    I think they should change their name and better the name should be ‘the best mover’. This way their service can be justified. I have never been optimistic about any mover but after I got a recommendation from my cousin I decided to go with Pick Up Movers and they left no room to raise finger upon them. Everyone I interacted with their office was highly professional. Pick Up Movers not only moved my boxes but they helped to make a layout on where to put the furniture. The last payment was what they quoted at first. So if I need to move I would never look further except Pick Up Movers.

    Moved a bed, sofa, and chair from VA to GA. Both apartments with elevators. The Relocation Specialist (Pierre) who first followed up and provided the estimate was top-notch -- friendly, responsive and transparent regarding pricing and logistics. He is the only reason I did not rate this one star. The movers themselves were honestly very, very bad. I understand they are contractors, but Pick Up Movers is responsible for hiring and dispatching them. A mishap here or there is fine (stuff happens), but all of this together was ridiculous, avoidable and unacceptable. I'll just list some of the things that happened and let you draw your own conclusions: - Destroyed a lighting fixture above the front door and made no mention of it -- obviously banking on me not noticing until they were gone (I didn't). - Definitely damaged a one-year-old large leather sofa in multiple places. - Required payment of the second half in cash (no card or check), and informed me of this by text message on a Sunday evening, when they were coming that Monday morning. Had used my card to pay the first half on the front end, so there was no reason to assume anything would be different on the back end. - Arrived two hours late on the dropoff day. About halfway through the move, the elevator apparently broke. Rather than mention anything at all, they just assumed there were no other elevators in the building and carried the rest of the items up five flights of stairs. They then insisted that I pay an additional $75 stair fee...had they just said something, I easily could have pointed out the second elevator and saved everybody a lot of trouble. Worse, had they not arrived 2 hours late, they would have been finished before it broke to begin with. Whether it was dishonesty or just plain incompetence, I shouldn't be expected to pay more for it. Would not recommend.

    My initial contact with PU Movers went well. The pick up was a bit dicey in that the movers spoke limited English and did not seem to have the materials needed for the move. While my goods were in transit, I could not get in contact with anyone at the company; however, the movers responded immediately to my text messages about the status of the move. The movers actually almost pinpointed the exact time they would be there for delivery!! Upon delivering my goods, the movers carefully reassembled my goods and were very courteous. After the movers left, we noted some damage to the goods...The company provided immediate information on how to file a claim. We have not been reimbursed for the damage as of yet but it has only been a few days since we filed the claim.

    I scheduled them at a certain price, then I had to reschedule and extend by a week. My contact person was good seemed to have it all under control, then I got a call from him telling to cancel the move, that the company was going to charge me alot more than my original quote and that he just didn't work that way etc....so I decided to heed his warning and cancelled the job...I didn't tell the manager the actual reason, but he was very good about returning my deposit...I ended up booking 2 POD which ended up working out very well.

    They are hardworking and friendly people. The packing was awesome and did not have any issues. My company reimbursement had a little trouble as they require immediate payment form only and checks should be cleared any jobs before.

    I love how my things are very well taken care of. The group is very courteous, professional, and yes, careful. Looks like they have moved my entire condo's worth of stuff out of a storage unit from Virginia to Florida. These people were very gentle with my stuff. Everything was just the same as it was before we moved, and they did everything is a breeze. I will surely recommend and use this mover again. Its worth every penny. Thanks

    These guys handled my move with care & they kept in contact with us through there travels to our new home in texas.They were honest,dependibal and made our move very easy and stress free.They charged a flat rate not a weight charge so we knew what to budget.They only did our move so it was only our items in the truck ... Great experience..nothing missing or broke ..thanks guys you are great!!!

    Professional to a tee! This moving experience was the best I have ever had (and I've had many!) The movers were prompt, fast, courteous, and extremely neat. Amenable to "changing things around" when asked, they did so politely and with a smile. It was a great pleasure to deal with this company. I would use their services (and only theirs!) time and again.

    Moved our stuff from Raleigh, NC to New York City. They were the first to reply with a quote, and still had the best estimate for our needs. Pierre was very friendly and helpful with getting us set up, and the whole process was what we expected. The pick-up was a day early than estimated, although they arrived hours later than what they told us (which is okay because they were still early technically), and the drop-off was exactly on time. Moving long-distance is incredibly stressful and I'm happy that Pick Up Movers made it as seamless as possible (on top of it, without tacking on extra charges for whatever!). Thank you!

    I received 5 different quotes from companies to move my 2 bedroom home from Richmond,VA to Silver Spring, MD. Pierre at Pick Up Movers followed up with a call to my online request for an estimate to get further information about my exact inventory. He was plesant, professional and had an immediate sense of helpfulness. Believe me you want helpfull people around you when you're moving. Pierre emailed the detailed inventory as he said he would and when I provided my own list in a format other than their online list, he called to clarify a few things and immediately provided me with a quote. I made my decision to go with Pick Up movers over a few othe least expensive moving quotes I had received because of his professionalism and follow-up with me. The moving crew called about 30 minutes before they arrived to my house to inform me they were on their way, but they showed up about 1 1/2 hrs early. Not necessarily what you want when you're planning ot get up early the day of your move and finish packing some last minute things, but the crew more than made up for it. The moving crew of three cam in and IMMEDIATELY scoped out my place, decided on their plan of attack and went to work. They hustled for 3hrs straight with out stop. I LOVE the fact that Pick Up Movers has boxes/paper for those last minute things you can't fit in and they will even pack them for you!! When we got to my new place, they came up, took a look and the different rooms, I told them where the major pieces of equipment were going to go and they went to work. Overall, I was completely satisfied with their hard work and professionalism. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to VERY close friends :-)

This was my second family move with them.From the initial discussions with Pierre focused on the factors that made my move unique, to the accurate cost estimate, to friendly and efficient office staff, to an expert pack crew, to Alex' masterful leadership on move day and an expert crew that handled our load and delivery with care and efficiency - every aspect of the job was executed with perfection.     If I could give this company a zero I would. This is one of the worst moving experiences I've had. First off they represent they are not a broker, they picked up my items but transferred it to another moving company and acted as a broker, the moving estimate was way off. Their salesperson had lied to me, hung up on me, and did not return my calls many times. Items were missing as well. Please do not trust, it will be a nightmare.

    Good Day Jessica, Thank you for taking time to submit your review. In the beginning I would like to directly answer the claims you listed in your review. Then I would like to provide our response to your review. We are not a broker, if you take a look at copy of your contract you will notice it says Pick UP Movers LLC. Our moving estimate was based on your inventory which you provided our sales person with. However our foreman mentioned to your representative (the individual that you assigned as your representative in your absence) that there were more items added to the inventory after the estimate was issued. As per your request to your representative, all items were loaded onto the truck – once again we will mention it was based on your request. Moreover, we offered to unload the items that were added from the truck since they weren’t apart of what you mentioned in your description of your inventory to which your representative refused. Therefore, this is the reason behind seeing a difference between the total amount of actual bill, which again was based on the actual items and space your shipment took inside the truck, compared to the estimated article list we received from you. I’m not mistaken in saying the same sentence you and your representative stated. You weren’t at the pickup location and you assigned ++++ as your representative in your absence. You mentioned in your review that our salesperson lied to which I would like to state there was no lie involved. The reason for my previous statement is due to the fact of having the signature of your representative to whom every procedure was explained from the very beginning, from the pricing to the methods of contacting our company. To improve the quality of service we offer to our customers, we differentiate all duties by department. As was mentioned to your representative, after your belongings were picked up, the dispatcher is the one who is responsible for your shipment and I would like to point out of our office work hours (9:00AM -5:00PM Mon– Fri). Addressing your comment about missing items—everything that was listed on the House Hold Description Inventory, checked, and signed by your representative was delivered to your destination. I would like to discover some moments of your move, since you are aware of it due to miscommunication with your representative. And would like to start from the moment our crew arrived to your pick up location. We are not denying there was a bit of miscommunication with the driver over the phone, and he missed some of your calls – and the explanation for that is the safety of the crew and shipments we are carrying on the truck. Our drivers cannot be on the phone while they are driving. However, they periodically send arrival time updates via text message to keep and other clients updated—to this we have the messages stored and can be back tracked to show the times and dates they provided the updates. At the very beginning, our foreman mentioned to your representative that he would like to be sure that you understood the entire deal you have with our company. Your representatives response was “I will make sure that she will know about everything“, more than that a few calls were made by your representative to you (as he mentioned) before we actually started moving your belongings. After everything was understood and confirmed by your representative our foreman started packing and loading. During the time of loading your representative came up to the truck to inspect the way we worked, and he had no questions regarding that. Right before our crew finished loading, another group of people arrived to your apartment to pick up the washer and dryer. Those people were not and are not related to Pick Up Movers in any way. What I would like to mention is that these people were not specially equipped to carry the aforementioned items, which were brought from the second or third floor (level) of your apartment. Right after we finished, another group of people arrived to deliver something. In addition, I would like to mention that before providing your representative with the final bill, our foreman explained about the additional inventory we picked up from you and the additional space that was used by those additional items, in that case you had two choices: - To unload those additional items we discovered at the pickup location (which you did not mention to our sales representative that you had) OR - To accept the deal After a few calls, your representative said ok to accept the deal—he agreed. The paperwork was signed and we left your apartment. However, prior to leaving your place we noticed an issue with the truck, so our crew spent about 30 to 45 minutes on your property waiting for roadside assistance. In other words, the issue what we had with the truck became the reason why you had different truck at your destination point. Right after that we received a call from you saying that our crew damaged walls and left trash at your pick up location. However as per photos that were provided by our foreman, and his explanation: during packing and loading the truck foreman asked your representative to provide us with trash bags into which we put empty tape rolls and tape. Afterwards, all items of packing materials that were used by our crew was gathered in trash bag. I would like to mention that we are not a disposal company—there was Styrofoam in your apartment even before we arrived to the site. We pick up the furniture, boxes, and clean up after our moves (i.e. tape, tape rolls, and/or cardboards). If there were items left for removal—it would be up to the owner/tenant/your representative to discard the items that were not included in the move or were not used for the move in anyway. Concerning the damage you mentioned—a group of people who arrived without any special equipment to carry washer and dryer downstairs may very well be the source of damage if there is any. Once again, I would like to say our foreman provides us with photos as they work to ensure proper supervision and completion of the job our clients expect. Summing up, at times there is a lack of communication and trust between the client and the representative the client appointed. This cannot be the fault of our company—that is why our sales representative mentioned to you at the very beginning that we, as a company have no problem if our customer cannot be at the pick up or destination location as long as he/she can provide us with a trusted representative to act as a representative not merely a presence. After reviewing all aspects of this transaction, we can say with great confidence that our company did everything possible to prevent any issues or misunderstandings by providing explanations before taking any actions and this—I can gladly say is what we always do. What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I really wished customers knew that moving is not a brute profession, but it involves thinking, and planning. Loading a truck is like playing a tetris game. many novice movers don't understand the importance of packing that truck tight, and right. This ensures that everything fits. Also, that movers may not ask, but we enjoy tips and food. It makes the job go smooth. LOL!
