FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$40 per 1.5 hour lesson, per person for Spanish tutoring; $10/lesson extra per person joining the same lesson (I.e. $50/lesson for two people, $60/lesson for three people). I don't recommend meeting for only one hour. 1.5 hours seems to be the minimum to actually understand and retain language material. One hour is rushed and it tends to be difficult for students to retain new language in a such a short period of time. Meeting at least twice per week is also ideal, leaving less time to forget material.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Determine a meeting time, location, and study material. Material will vary a little bit, depending on goals and what method of learning appeals most to the student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
*BA degree in Spanish with honors *Spanish tutor for a total of about five years *Professional experience founding/running a bilingual news website *Taught Spanish at a private high school for two years *Spent time spent abroad in Mexico and South America
