FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I normally start out at $50 an hour, but if you have a small budget please let me know. I am willing to negotiate and my pricing is flexible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The customer contacts me. We discuss their project and budget. Depending on the size and scope of the project, I may request a signature of a contract or partial payment. I like to hammer out the details ahead of the project beginning, so the customer and I are on the same page when it comes to cost and final completion of the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I continue to study and learn new techniques and software. Currently, I am a videographer/editor for a news station. I studied photography from the age 10 as an apprentice of my father who was a professional photographer and a member of PPI (Professional Photographers of Indiana), PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and graduated from and taught for MAIPP (Mid-America Institute for Professional Photographers). I studied Fine Art at Grace College and then transferred to Indiana University of South Bend. I completed more than four years of course work, but due to financial limitations was not able to complete my final semester to earn my degree. I am attempting to finish in the next year. I received a Certificate of Competency: Photography 1 from the Commercial Photography Class offered at the Elkhart Area Career Center, a technical high school. I made the honor roll and was a member of the National Vocational/Technical Honor Society.
