Excellent in every way! Michael, “The Carpet Medic,” came out yesterday and cleaned 2 rooms of carpet, a carpeted staircase, and a fabric recliner, and the results are amazing! Backstory: I bought a house while people were still living in it, so with all the furniture, I didn't really see the condition of the flooring until the final walk-through . . . and when I did, I realized the carpeting was filthy! So before I moved in, I ended up having the upstairs re-done in laminate, an expense I had not anticipated; therefore, I decided to keep the carpeting in the living room, dining room, and stairs, since it was of a different type from that upstairs and might have been a replacement for the original. From Michael, I learned that the downstairs carpet is called “frieze,” (a kind of short shag). Although the color is tones of brown and beige, there were a couple of very dark places that looked almost black, and even though my housecleaners and I had vacuumed them repeatedly, there was no improvement. Thankfully, that's when Michael showed up and was able to clean the carpet to the point that it looks brand new; he was even able to remove the the large dark spots that had been unaffected by vacuuming. Amazing! Overall, I could not be happier with the results. And making the situation even better, Michael handled the entire process in a friendly and knowledgeable way: He called within minutes of my request on Thumbtack; explained the whole process to me, including prices; and answered my questions. We set a date and time for him to come by and he texted me a confirmation and then called the day of the appointment to tell me he was would be here in “35 minutes.” (He was.) After he had looked at the areas to be cleaned and again explained the process and drying times, he mentioned that an additional step that we had not discussed before was applying Scotchgard after cleaning. I said I was not interested in Scotchgarding, and that was that. No more discussion; no hard sell. After Michael had finished the job, he took the time to explain the best way to keep frieze carpeting clean. (Don’t use the brush on the vacuum, and set the vacuum to a height so that it is just at the top of the carpet; that way it will suck up dirt without damaging the frieze pile.) Of course, this was totally new and extremely valuable information, as well as an example of the professionalism which which he conducted all aspects of the job. All in all, I am very impressed with the entire experience Michael provided; I will definitely use his services again and can unconditionally recommend him to others.

I had the pleasure of working with Michael this past week. He came out Monday. Once my carpet dried, I noticed a few spots that were still there, and he responded the same day and came back the very next day (free of charge) and even gave me tips on self carpet cleaning if a have an accident. Responded late in the evening and communicated to me the plan of care, pricing, dates, kept me informed if he had a cancellation, and to see if he can arrive earlier, etc. I must say it was crucial that his communication to me was on point because I was in the mist of moving, and the new owners of my house was moving into the house. He educated me on things I did not know about the rug cleaning. I thought I learned everything about the carpet cleaning because of getting different types of carpet cleaners over the past 42 years.
