- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend conferences, seminars, and training sessions, especially those pertaining to the Drupal CMS. I also regularly participate in webinars on emerging trends and challenges in web design/development and information technology. I also maintain an active social media presence by following influential web design and IT professionals, companies, and trends on Twitter and Google+ among other outlets.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had a curiosity for computers and technology. I like helping people solve problems, and the creativity web design and development offers is a great blend of all three.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask questions and have answers. Know what you want and be as specific as possible. It's much more efficient and cost effective to go into a project with clear goals and expectations. Once the project has started, it can be difficult (and often more expensive) to change the goal midstream.
