FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I absolutely love taking pictures of families in their every day environment. Because of this affinity, I specialize in ambient light photography, photography taken with the available light of any given situation without any flash. This kind of photography tends to capture very touching and candid moments. Think of wedding shots taken without the intrusion of a flash, or portraits of your sleeping new baby. A flash would destroy the integrity of the moment and might wake a sleeping baby! I also find a talent for taking portrait photography such as school photos, family pictures taken in or out of the home, and PhotoFundraising.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The camera is important, but second to knowledge. Knowledge is important but second to proof. Poof is important but second to your relationship with the photographer. When choosing a photographer, understand that while any good photographer will be able to produce good results in a wide variety of situations, most photographers have a niche where their portraiture astounds. Ask about these photos and get to know the person you are working with. Beware of expensive cameras and gear without an established portfolio. The art of photography exploded with the invention of the digital camera, "Photographers" started popping up everywhere. There is a strict difference between a portrait, a photograph, a snap shot and a candid picture. Whomever you choose to work with and capture your memories should be able to explain the difference of the picture types mentioned in simple terms. These will be opinions, but a photographer mature in his art will share his feelings openly. This is when you begin to know the person and can make a good decision about working with him.
