FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing structure is designed to be simple and transparent. Every event booking includes a base package fee of $250. This initial fee secures your date and covers the essential services, including: The first hour of DJ performance. Full setup and breakdown of professional-grade sound equipment. Pre-event consultation to plan your music and timeline. Travel and transportation to your venue within a 60-mile radius of Rutland, VT. After the first hour, my rate is a simple $100 for each additional hour. For events outside my local service area, a travel fee will be included in your custom quote to cover the additional time and transportation. I am happy to travel throughout the Northeast and will always provide a transparent, all-inclusive price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My Booking Process 1. Initial Details I’ll start by sending you a simple form to gather the basics, such as: Event type (wedding, party, corporate, etc.) Date, time, and location Estimated guest count Preferred music style or vibe (genres, must-play and do-not-play lists) 2. Consultation Next, we’ll schedule a consultation by phone, video, or in person to: Discuss your event timeline (cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, special moments) Review equipment needs (sound, lighting, and any extras) 3. Pricing & Proposal After our consultation, I’ll provide a detailed quote that includes: Base rate and what’s included (hours, setup, teardown) Optional add-ons (lighting, ceremony system, extra hours) Travel fees, if applicable 4. Contract & Deposit Once everything looks good, we’ll: Review and sign a contract covering date, services, and payment terms Secure your date with a non-refundable deposit (typically 25%) Confirm when your final payment is due (usually 1–2 weeks before the event) 5. Music Planning Together, we’ll plan your playlist, including special songs and any do-not-play tracks, so the music fits your vision perfectly. 6. Event Day & After I’ll arrive early, ensure everything runs smoothly, and keep the energy right all night. After the event, I may follow up for feedback or a review to make sure you’re 100% happy.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Way back in high school I used to follow and learn from a friend as he DJ'd and eventually, I became the guy. I started with local bar gigs and I then eventually branched out doing more local events.
