For most of my life I have been a writer, and since 2008, I have been an autism advocate. I started out advocating for my son, who was diagnosed in 2007, and then his older sister was also diagnosed with autism in 2009. All of that led me to write "Same Child, Different Day: One Family�s Experiences During the First Year After a Child�s Autism Diagnosis." The life of a writer can be eclectic. I don�t just mean the writing, either. Life, itself. While trying to secure one�s self as a credible scribe, one must often endure all manner of unrelated jobs/careers/tasks/chores/sidelines/hobbies. That�s where I have found myself. I have been a customer service representative, a bell hop, a soldier, a bodyguard; you name it. Some of these endeavors have found their way into my writing; others, not so much. It�s a broken road that has shaped me, and, obviously, has brought me to this point.
