Paul and Stephanie catered our wedding this summer and we were very pleased with their professionalism, the taste, quality, and presentation of their food, and their dedication in helping us realize our wedding vision. I was first contacted by them on Thumbtack in response to our request for a wedding caterer. We had already exhausted options from The Knot Vendor List and had been both overwhelmed with prices and underwhelmed with food taste and quality. Paul and Stephanie reached out to us quoting a plated meal including beef and fish for the same price as the cheap chicken buffets we'd been experiencing. They were kind enough to visit us in our home where Chef prepared generous samples of all the dishes we were considering. While we were eating, Stephanie took down details on the wedding and presentation. The food was phenomenal and hands down better than any other samples we'd been given. Chef even bustled about in my kitchen and found my Tupperware so he could package up the leftovers and leave them in the fridge for us. We decided to also take advantage of their pastry side and get our cupcakes for our dessert table from them. Stephanie hand delivered them to my work so I could sample them with the Fiancé. Chef did a great job at making me feel comfortable with everything he was preparing with his knowledge of gluten free cooking and baking and comprehension of cooking safety for individuals with Celiac. Nearly all our item we ordered were gluten free, and the ones that weren't, were kept separate. The months leading up to the wedding was simple and easy communication, I wish I could have said this for all my vendors. Payments expectations were made clear and could be easily made by credit card. Stephanie made time to have two additional consultations to discuss food plating, food table decorations, and cupcake topping design. I supplied her with a binder and the weekend before the wedding she had a phone consultation with me to review the details and it was evident she had already looked at all the contents extensively. The day of the wedding the catering team was on point. They jumped in and took over many of the duties our wedding coordinator was not attending to including setting up our appetizer and dessert tables and guest tables to my design plan. The food was excellent and all of our guests have said they couldn't stop stuffing themselves with delicious noms. The plating was lovely, the cupcake toppings were just as I'd envisioned, and the waitstaff and bartender were very attentive. Stephanie was present at the wedding and Chef Paul had prepared most of the food but was catering another event. I was so pleased with her and her staff and her attention to detail and hard work helping us create our day. They packed up all the leftovers for us and we were told they were the last vendors there still working hard at helping everyone clean up. If you are looking at catering a large event do yourself a favor and check out Paul and Stephanie. They are not only a great chef and planner duo, they are also incredibly kind and compassionate individuals. One of my biggest regrets is that I didn't know Stephanie was also a wedding coordinator, I wish I would have hired her instead of the girl we did. Additionally, their prices are more than reasonable and worth every penny.
This was for my granddaughters Sweet 16 Birthday Party. We had about 30 guests and we rented a hall. I needed someone to help setup the tables prepare the food and make sure food and drinks didn't run out. I had never thrown a large party like this before and didn't really know what to expect. Jessica came in and asked me some questions as to what I wanted and then took over. She was very professional and very quick. The food and drinks were prepared and displayed perfectly in a buffet style. She even assisted with the birthday cake letting the birthday girl cut the 1st piece and served to the other guests. She also cleaned everything and had the left over food packeged up. I am so glad I hired Jessica and so thankful to her for everything she did. The party wouldn't have been as great if it weren't for her and I certainly wouldn't have been able to relax and enjoy the festivities.
Chantel and her team did an outstanding job of catering our event. The food was delicious (cooked to perfection and nice and hot with many choices), the service was great (the ladies were all warm and friendly) and the set-up and clean-up was flawless. I received many compliments from guests regarding the food. They will most certainly be my caterers of choice the next time the need arises and I would highly recommend them!
Everyone at my wedding was so impressed with Pacific Northwest Catering, the food was delicious, presentation was beautiful, and the servers were absolutely wonderful. Matt and Al were great to work with and were very quick to answer any questions I had and make any adjustments all the way up to the week if the wedding. The serving staff was phenomenal and I received a lot of feedback from guests on how great they were. I highly recommend!!

Nola and her staff did such a fantastic job catering our wedding. From helping us plan to menu, providing a delicious tasting, answering questions about logistics and dietary restrictions, and providing stellar food and customer service to the day of the wedding, Nola and her team went above and beyond to make our day special. Our main entrée was fig balsamic glazed wild BBQ salmon with mango kiwi salsa. I wish I could make something this delicious myself, because it was amazing. Our salad consisted of organic mixed greens with julienned apple, shaved fennel, herbed crouton, and a really light but creamy bleu cheese dressing. They even made a separate salad with a different dressing for our dairy-free guests. The guest (and groom’s) favorite was our side: Beecher’s mac and cheese. So good! It was very stormy the day of our wedding, and a lot of things went wrong for us. Nola and her team went beyond the call of duty and helped out where they shouldn’t have needed to. They kept an incredibly positive attitude the entire time, conversed with guests, and helped reassure an incredibly stressed-out bride. The only complaint I heard from any guests was the portion-control at the buffet, but with a buffet we personally feel that was probably necessary. I had been concerned that people would take more than their fair share and leave guests at the end of the line with no food, and I’m sure that was the whole reason for starting out with smaller portions. I also heard that guests were invited to come back for seconds once everybody had been served, so I’m sure everyone got enough food. Overall, we were more than satisfied with Nola, her team, and the food. The food was everything we had hoped for, and the service was outstanding. We recommend them to anybody planning a wedding or other event.
Working with Dogfather was great! Food was delicious, and caterer was prompt, and so fun to work with! Will definitely use again in the future :)
Brett was professional, timely and made delicious food that was tailored to by unique palate. It was a great introduction to thumbtack and having a professional chef, with how busy I am with work. Greatly appreciated, and looking forward to continuing to utilize this in the future.

We operate Kruger Escapes, an adventure sailing charter business based in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. Two years ago we established a partnership with Nichole of Island Chef Services. In preparation for each of our sailing trips, we provide Nichole with detailed food surveys from each of our guests. Nichole then works her magic, always demonstrating incredible thoughtfulness, planning, preparation and execution. From the food surveys, she prepares detailed menu plans, shops for all the food, then fully preps each meal (for up to seven days!). As a final step she provides us with detailed instructions on how to finish preparing each meal and plate it beautifully. This relationship allows us to quickly prepare and serve freshly cooked meals while underway AND maintain a gourmet food experience for our guests that is specifically catered to their tastes. On every sailing trip with Nichole's food, our guests express delight over the menu and surprise at just how much delicious food is on board the boat. Our guests' comments include statements like, "How did she know my favorite dinner?!", "This is beautiful!" or "This is our most favorite way to eat. We want to meet Nichole!" On a smaller scale, last Christmas we hired Nichole to make an apple pie for our family dinner. My dad is NOT easy to impress with pie, and apple is his favorite. It was a little heartbreaking to have to tell him I wasn't the one who baked the pie he was so happy with... and then he kept saying, "This Nichole really knows how to bake an apple pie." We love you Nichole!!
We love Patty's food as well as her customer service! She works with us to come up with monthly meal plans that suit our dietary needs and desires and our busy schedule. It's amazing how much time she saves us, freeing us up to focus on work and leisure :) Patty is talented and versatile and has great professional integrity. She always provides a range of choices that cover different cooking styles, and she tracks our favorite dishes while each month suggesting something new that she is excited to make for us. She discusses every aspect of the pricing with us and makes sure that we love every dish that we order from her. Patty is also very well-organized, something that has impressed us since the beginning. She is a great communicator and is very flexible with our complicated schedule. We are lucky to have found her!
Royal India catered my husband's birthday party. Many quests complimented the food. Prior to party, the manager Aeisha met us in person at the restaurant to sample food and select menu. She made great recommendations. The buffet they set looked beautiful.
Shauna was amazing to work with - she provided an incredible meal for our wedding and also took on the burden of supplying rentals. Everything went on without a hitch, and was a great experience! Late into our engagement, my wife was diagnosed with cancer. We saw the wedding as an opportunity to have a break from everything life has been throwing at us, and with Shauna's help it was an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend reaching out to Entropy Cooks if you are looking for a caterer for your event. The food was incredible, the service was great, the price was more than reasonable, and the experience was everything we had hoped and more.
Gwen, you are an amazing caterer! Thank you! Yellow Bird Catering catered a buffet for my wedding reception and everything worked out perfectly. I was having a difficult time finding a caterer that was reasonable and willing to work with me. I kept getting frustrated by caterers by their lack of flexibility to get the meal we were wanting. That all changed when I talked with Gwen. She was friendly, understanding and willing to work with me. Her prices were reasonable and as soon as I said "wedding" she didn't charge her demeanor like the other caterers did. My reception had 200 guests and almost everyone of them complemented the buffet. I don't know how else to explain how satisfied I was...great food, great customer service, and reception dinner that went off without a hitch. I am so thankful I found Yellow Bird Catering!
If you are looking for a wonderful Chef who is also an event planner, look no further than Chef Berttron. This guy was amazing. I am the Mother of the bride and from our first meeting through the wedding day (August 1, 2015) he was nothing but professional and he extremely good at what he does. Chef Berttron and his staff helped from start to finish with setup, cleanup, service, and everything in between. Everyone was impressed with the food. We had Chicken Marsala, Halibut in dill butter sauce, Salad with pears and candied walnuts in a raspberry vinaigrette, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and fresh made rolls. There was even enough to take extra home. Additionally, he was very good about accommodating for a food allergy the Groom had. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful job Chef Berttron and his staff did. Not only is Chef Berttron professional, but he has a take charge personality that allows you to really relax and enjoy the day and he does it all with a smile. Thank you Chef Berttron for all that you did to make our Daughters wedding day picture-perfect and providing us with the confidence to place everything in your control which allowed us to really enjoy the day worry free!
Most important -- the food was incredible! Her menu was superb, from beginning to end, and was able to satisfy a range of dietary preferences. In addition, she's a joy to work with, making the meal that much more special. I would definitely recommend!
Jim is very professional. He ALWAYS listens, and meets the needs of his clients. His food is fresh, tastes amazing, is always prepared safely, and is displayed so beautifully before serving. Even this platter turned out amazing (see attached photo). It was almost hard to consume the vegetables that occupied this tray, because it was so beautiful!!! Jim TRULY enjoys what he does. He has turned all of what he does in to works of art. I will ALWAYS reccomend that potential clients ask for Jim, and his services. You will never be disappointed!
I've hired Edible Hue for several events, and have enjoyed each of them immensely. Chef Andy, Myrissa, and Amara provide an experience that has had my guests raving for months. They're a joy to collaborate with, and they accommodate my typical Seattle crowd (a mix of vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten-sensitive, lactose intolerant) with patience and grace. I am always at ease knowing they're at the helm. At the last event, several people expressed that they were "blown away" by the food. I can't wait to have an excuse to hire them again!
Cierra Laub, Jarod Johnson, and Ash Candelario catered our wedding in August 2014. We had about 150 people to feed. The variety of dishes they prepared was wonderful. We had vegans, vegetarians, and others with no food specifications and there was something for everyone. My husband, our guests, and I were impressed with the quality of the food and service provided. Everything was refilled in a timely manner so no one was ever waiting to eat what they liked. The price to quality ratio for the food was very affordable. We had a budget and they did an amazing job to work within and even under that. We would have them cater again without hesitation.
She was located at the WIAA meet from Thurs-Sat and I finally got to taste her awesome food on Saturday. I got her Lizzie's Yakisoba and it was wonderful. Topped with a couple of savory buffalo wings. Glad I stopped in. Plus the Seahawks red bull drink was to die for. Will definitely find her again.
Professional, friendly people with great food to boot!! I utilized O'Sheas Catering and Events for an annual event that I host to honor mothers who have lost children to youth violence. The sheer nature of this event is sensitive and has no room for mistakes and the folks at O'Sheas gave me one less thing to worry about. From the pre-event tasting to the actual clean up after the event, they were always responsive to my needs, answered emails and phone calls in a timely fashion and were prompt the day of the show. The event's guests were especially pleased with the BBQ brisket and their feedback made me happy that I chose that as one of our dinner options. Many thanks to O'Sheas, I will definitely be considering this business for my events in the future.
