What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I really like to meet with my clients, either in person or Skype so that we can both determine if we think we are a good match for each other (sounds kind of like dating, but seriously the fit is so important). As I said, I love working with clients who are just gushing with love for each other and I want them to like me and my style too.
After we decide if we are match then we can talk about your needs and I'll create a custom package that meets your needs, then the fun of planning your session begins!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been trained by some of the best photographers in the industry and I am constantly attending conference and workshops to stay on top of the latest technology and techniques. I am a member of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International and attend their annual learning event.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
I like to give couples choices about their wedding packages. I have some pre-designed packages that range from a simple elopement style events to full blown day long occasions. You also have the option to design your own package that includes only what you want. In addition to photography services, I also design albums and a number of other custom items using your photographs.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. In the early days, my children were my inspiration but after I had the chance to do my first wedding several years ago, I was hooked. I love the energy and chaos of the wedding day. It's like no other!
What types of customers have you worked with?
In the past I have done a lot of different types of photography including families, high school seniors and weddings. Today I focus exclusively on weddings, engagements and bridal boudoir photography. I'm all about the couple in love. That's what I love, so that's what I do!
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I'm a hopeless romantic and a sucker for a good love story so each time I meet a couple it's just super special to me to be able to be a part of that really special time in their lives.
I enjoy shooting on the day of the engagement and wedding and I really love it when it 's time to sit down and design their album. It's my chance to tell their love story and my clients are always over joyed when they see the results. Tears fall every time and that makes it worth it to me!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It's super important to find a photographer that you feel comfortable with and who you really like. You will likely spend a fair amount of time with this person on a very important day so find someone you really click with. Also, take a look at their work and make sure the style is consistent with what you like. If not, keep looking until you find what you really like.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I encourage couples to think about what they want the end result to be and who they want along side them on their wedding day. They should ask to see samples of the photographers work and ask for references. I have a 5 star rating on Wedding Wire and you can read my clients comments there too!
