I waited 30 minutes after the agreed time for the "Customer Service Nerd" to appear. Nobody showed up. Of course, things do come up unexpectedly, so I checked email and conversation to see if any messages about this had been sent, but none had. I also verified that I had given them the correct address. It should be kept in mind that, since they never showed up for the estimate, I cannot comment on how the actual work would have gone.

Paul This feedback breaks my heart. We see more than a thousand people a year, but only about 15 from thumbtack. I have about 50 employees at the company. That's 50 families that show up and do their level best to serve our customer as well as they can. But only one of those people has the thumbtack account. He's in the office, and didn't know Will was stuck at some kind of closure from an emergency vehicle. Will had your phone number, and he swears he called. But he said it just rang, and didn't even go to voicemail or machine. It's possible he had the wrong number. I don't know. Would it be completely impossible to make this up to you? We pride ourselves on outstanding service. If nothing else, I apologize for the inconvenience.

I was looking to put a roof on my home and called several companies for a bid. My experience with RoofSmart started with Jim in sales. Jim was by far the most knowledgeable and thorough. He pointed out some ventilation issues that were causing some mold issues that nobody else caught. In addition he pointed out some siding damage that would be taken care of as well. Jim showed me several different shingle options in several different colors from his mobile showroom. The crew that installed my roof was great. They cleaned up everyday and kept in communication with me the whole time. Some additional rot was discovered behind the rotten siding that required some carpentry work. They had problem doing the needed carpentry work. Once the job was complete the guys left my yard spotless. I can't say enough great things about RoofSmart. I'd recommend them to anyone and will hire them again in the future.

Our pricing is "in the middle." We are often more comprehensive, so sometimes it seems like we cost more. But we're just including what you need so there are fewer surprises.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Been a licensed general contractor in Washington & Oregon since 2011. Continuing education required for Oregon license. NOTHING required in Washington to demonstrate competence for us, or any other "licensed" contractor.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My dad is a builder. He makes castles, I'll fix yours!
