Introduction: I train dogs in a different way than other dog trainers due to my 20 years of experience and my background with a Degree in Zoology and Animal Behavior from the University of Washington.
I provide in home training at a time and schedule that is convenient for you. I do not use: treat training, clicker training or negative reinforcement training. My training is based on Positive Reinforcement training techniques. Your reward for your dog is your positive praise and attention. Using this type of training allows the owner to establish their role as the leader with their dog.

I truly enjoy what I do! This type of training is about teaching the owner how to handle the dog and the dog's issues. I thrive on the happiness I see on the dog's face and the owner's face when we have worked out the problems and the two are functioning as best friends. My goal is to leave you and your dog in a happy partnership of respectful friendship.

Nikki is awesome! I have 2 dogs, one is older and the other is just under two years old. Neither is out of control or major nuisance, but there was room for improvement. The younger one is leery of people and a bit skittish. At our first meeting the young walked up to Nikki and allowed herself to be pet and she was at ease. We are just about a month into training and all is going well. The dogs have responded well to the training and I've seen significant improvement.

Nikki has been great to work with! I specifically was looking for a trainer who could help us with positive reward training vs. treat training. She is perceptive and able to adjust her ideas and methods to our specific situation. I would definitely recommend working with Nikki one on one.

I love Nikki's positive attitude and training techniques. She has been working with me and my now 9 month old male ridgeback for a couple of months and I'm not sure how I would have made it without her. Every time I encounter a new challenge with him, she has a great solution. I'm always impressed at how patient she is with both of us. I highly recommend her!
