FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Please note that I don’t charge per session. Instead, because different situations call for different approaches, we always start with a free consultation so that I can fully understand what you're seeking help with. Then, if I believe I can help, I'll outline a recommended number of sessions and the total cost for the full course of that work. To get a quote for your hypnotherapy as quickly as possible, let's set up your free consultation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before your first hypnosis session, we’ll talk in depth about what’s bringing you in and I’ll walk you through how hypnosis works, clear up common misconceptions, and answer any questions you have. Some video, audio, and reading material will help you feel comfortable and prepared before we begin. Each session starts and ends with a brief conversation (up to about 30 minutes total) to clarify your goals and track progress in a practical, grounded way. The bulk of the session (typically 60–90 minutes) is spent in hypnosis, a state of focused awareness used to uncover and dissolve the root of many everyday struggles. In this state, you can access the subconscious mind —where core beliefs and habits are formed— so you can shift those patterns from the inside out. There’s usually a small amount of agreed‑upon “homework” between sessions. The word is in quotation marks because, after the work we do together, it tends to feel more like bite‑sized ways to experiment with the changes that are taking hold inside you, rather than a heavy chore to attend to. Most people begin noticing positive shifts after the first session, and 4 – 6 sessions effectively resolve most issues. Each session is about 120 minutes total, with some variation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from one of the most well-regarded hypnotherapy programs in the nation, an advanced program called 5-PATH®. I studied with award-winning hypnotist and hypnosis instructor Erika Flint, at Cascade Hypnosis Center, in Bellingham, Washington. I have been a registered and certified hypnotherapist (through the WA state Department of Health and the National Guild of Hypnotists, respectively) —and a certified 5-PATH® Master Hypnotist (through the Banyan Hypnosis Center)— since 2024. Additionally, ongoing study in areas like neuroplasticity and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) informs my work — in particular with clients dealing with chronic physical symptoms.
