FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For half an hour, I charge $20 per half hour, or $35 for a whole hour. The hour price is not a combination of two students, instead per student. This goes for both instruments.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start by asking new students "what do you know about the piano/cello?" This gives me an idea of where to start, so they can start moving forward from the beginning. From there, I get to know them; how they learn, music they like, lesson goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started taking piano lessons at the age of 5 after two years of playing on my own. I took private lessons for the piano until the age of 18. For the cello, I self-taught myself during the beginning of the school year during my eighth year in orchestra. From there, I fell in love with it. That same year I got into honor orchestra. I did again my junior and senior year. My first two years of high school I only played cello for my church's worship team. After finishing high school, I've been playing cello for the worship team, as well as teaching piano and cello.
