FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on many things such as size, print medium, and product finish. I try to set a reasonable flat rate for the basic services and end product, with the opportunity for Clients to tailor well beyond that point, taking advantage of the incredibly beautiful treatments and finishes available today.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Knowing what my Client wants is key; we collaborate to guide me in producing images that meet their needs and wants. I will suggest and recommend, coming back always to my Client's goals. While shooting, I am independent and self-directing, so that my Client can enjoy the process and concentrate on having fun and being relaxed. Afterward, I review and adjust images as necessary (I shoot in RAW); my Clients then can review the images online and provide feedback for any further adjustments or treatments they desire. Often I find that Clients weren't aware of different types of "looks" that can be imposed into photographs with filters and software. I work with the Client all the way through delivery of the final images to ensure customer satisfaction.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My continuing education is CONSTANT. I spend a great deal of time reading, attending workshops, reviewing online video courses and experimenting with the camera. Anyone who tells you that taking fine photographs is just pressing the button on a camera hasn't recognized that photography can be an art form. As a member of organizations such as the Photography Society of America, I take advantage of any and all resources to improve my work and expand my knowledge of all facets of photography, from the image capture and use of a variety of equipment to the printing process.
