FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat rate of $65/hr. There are some instances that I will give a price for the whole job such as installing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am new to Thumbtack and usually work by referral. And so I would offer the customer a chance to see some of my work and a list of references. I would ask them exactly what they would like to see accomplished and go over any concerns or questions they may have involving the work to be done. And ofcourse I would complete in a timely manner and provide them with excellent craftsmanship whatever the job may be. The least they can expect is for it to be done right often exceeding their expectations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education and training came from on the job experience. I started as a laborer and worked my way to a journeyman level carpenter. Ive got over 12,000 hours working in residential construction. Before I started residential construction I spent over 10 years working with trees or in the woods cutting timber and logging. I've done many types of logging as a choker setter, tree cutter, climber, rigging slinger, chaser and hooktender. I have spent my whole life from 18 years old to now 44 years old working with wood in one form or another. I take great pride in putting my skills to good use. I value my commitment and service to others. The appreciation I gain is rewarding.
