Matthew promptly responded to my request and came to my house as scheduled. The work quality is pretty good although there are some issues we did not notice, which he came and fixed the next day. He also sticked to what he promised during the evaluation of the project and did not charge me for extra hours and materials. I will definitely hire him again for new project.

This is a long overdue review. Matthew has been great to work with. Throughout the entire process, he was always responsive, professional, and understanding. He took the time to understand my needs and was transparent and reasonable with his estimates. I had to replace a gas range with an induction range top, which needed some coordination with replacing the gas range, making some modification to the cabinet, capping out the gas line, and coordinating with the electrician. He went the extra mile by identifying some issues he saw in my newly delivered induction rage top that I didn't see, which I was able to resolve with the vendor. I wouldn't have known about it if he didn't notice it. Everything worked out great thank you to Matthew, and the cabinet mod he made looks great and now has even sturdier support than before. I would strongly recommend him, and will definitely reach out again for future jobs.

I cannot rave enough about my experience with Matthew. I had a job that nobody else would take. It was less than 4 hours from my initial request to job completion. He even detected a gas leak, advised us how to connect a tricky plumbing project and purchased the parts for not only the project he was working on, but the one my husband was to. And more so, he is very professional and kind. He will be my go to handyman moving forward.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do a minimum of 2 hours and It includes drive time. The time starts when I start heading to your appointment.
I do not accept checks.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once a customer makes contact I like to reach out and communicate with them on the phone to ensure I have a complete understanding of what the job entails.
Then I like to lay out the expected cost and time required.
I also like to communicate areas where things may cost more or potential issues that may arise so we can eliminate surprises.
I want the customer to know that I will never take on a job that I am not capable of handling.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 15 years of garage door experience, having installed several thousand doors. I am one of less than 200 people qualified to work on specific electro-mechanical equipment for document handling. I have experience with low voltage and 3-phase equipment. I did a complete remodel of my home which was built in 1890. I have overseen the maintenance and care of several hundred commercial and residential real estate units.
