I was beyond impressed with Dennis Doerksen! He went out of his way and moved my used appliances up a graded backyard and loaded them up for me. I was delayed to meet him and he took care of it all! I would hire again with out a question. Thanks a Million
We just did a complete remodel of our backyard. It was literally torn down to nothing and rebuilt. The job involved removing existing patio, cutting down a tree, clearing all the plants, removing steps, leveling the whole yard, building retaining walls, fence, gates, laying a fairly large patio area with pavers, building a fire pit area with flagstone, drainage, sprinklers and planting. I hired G&E based on the reviews on thumbtack and I couldn't agree more with some of the reviews about their professionalism. They are easily among the best contractors I have worked with. Reliability, Punctuality, Accountability, Flexibility, and Quality are some of the key qualities I was looking for and they fit it perfectly. We are very happy with how our yard turned out and it is better than what we have envisioned. I would definitely hire Polo and team again for any future work. If you are looking to get any landscaping work, don't think twice about G & E.
We hired Mike and "Santa" to excavate and grade a small area in front of our home to create a graveled parking area. They did a fantastic 5 star (plus) job and even went above & beyond (i.e. taking a wheelbarrow of dirt to our backyard for flower bed, cut and placed railroad ties we had to frame the parking area). The quality of work was superb. They were professional and friendly and always on time. Considering we are 3 sisters on limited incomes, we were very pleased with the final cost (not a penny more than the estimate) and will definitely be utilizing their services for future projects. High five, kudos and hugs to Mike and "Santa"! 👋🏼 👍🏼🤗😀
I called Ken about 4:30pm to inquire about a sprinkler repair job. Not only did he answer all my questions, he came out that night and repaired my broken line. His prices also couldn't be beat (related to who else I contacted for the job). Inexpensive, quality, and quickness - you can't beat that!
They cleaned out the junk in our garage very last minute, kept me updated the whole time while I was at work. The price was fair based on other quotes from junk removal services. Mel was fabulous to work with, I would definitely use them again.
After agreeing to do project, James never showed up to start the work... Very unprofessional!!
We ended up with the yard of our dreams. It was a small, tight lot, but LaBouff Landscaping had the tools for any area they needed to work. About the only thing that didn't turn out as expected was the lattice under the deck. Somehow we all forgot about it as the excitement for the wrap-up came. But that's okay, I'll probably be having them out for some new projects soon & maybe the lattice will be one of them.
I found Sergio through Thumbtack after struggling to find any handyman services that weren't booked out weeks/months in advance and actually responded to me. I emailed Sergio from the website to initiate the process and from our initial email we began communicating via text message. Sergio came out on a Monday to provide a quote for significant yard work. The yard work included removing tons of overgrown and invasive plants on my grandmother-in-law's Kingston property (think blackberries et al) and removal of some random junk on the property, as well as cutting down of bamboo (grandma's property has a creek running through it and there's more bamboo than the fertile lands of Asia). Sergio reviewed everything we wanted done and quoted it would take about 40 hours with 3 guys to process the work and removal of everything we wanted done. The rate is $25 per hr per worker so the estimate worked out to about 3k. Of course, I'm always expecting unexpected things to come up and I have zero experience hiring someone to do significant yard work like this. Sergio and I agreed to the work via text after receiving the quote. The next Monday morning he and one of his guys showed up promptly at 8am and began hacking away at junipers and blackberry plants on the property with machetes (what. haha.) I live in Seattle so I wasn't easily able to come out and constantly check on their progress. Sergio had one guy with him on Monday and Tuesday-Thursday he had two guys with him. Initially, we planned on them finishing on Friday but something came up and they promptly came (four guys, actually) on Saturday and finished everything off. The actual cost for (approximately) 40 hours with 3 guys was about $3,300 with about $750 in dump run fees (yeah bringing all those trimmings and leaves sure get expensive at the Kitsap dump, I've done it on my own in the past). And then sales tax for his services a couple hundred. Overall, it was about 4k, which was 1k over budget but seeing as $750 was dump run costs and like $350 was sales tax, it totally met my expectations. Sergio and his crew are polite, fast, friendly, and hard working. I'm pleased that we selected Sergio for our yard work. They did a significant amount of yard waste hacking and removal. My grandmother-in-law is very attached to some of the plants so they were very careful about preserving and protecting specific plants (whichever plants so wanted stayed, and the overgrown invasive plants growing on top of them were removed) and Sergio and his crew were clearly professionals at handling these Pacific Northwestern flora. If you're looking for someone who will work hard for you and be very fair, I would recommend emailing, calling, or texting Sergio to bring him out for a quote. Other projects we are about to have done that Sergio may be involved with and stated he and his crew can do, and will quote separately: -power washing and painting her house -grading, levelling, and filling her drive way with rock -aerating and seeding grass and laying sod -placing pavers to create unprecedented walkways -removal of old fences and installation of new fences So in addition to yard and junk waste removal, as well as professionally manicuring her plants, shrubs, and trees, Sergio and his team can do pretty much anything. Contact him for a quote. I highly recommend. :)
Kevin was prompt and efficient. He was knowlegable regarding irrigation systems, and finished the job quickly.
I worked with Quyen and his crew last year and just wanted to say that they did a great job putting sod in to my back yard and my back yard was not the easiest to get to. I am looking forward to working with this group again this year on a new project.
Charlie and his crew did a great job removing and trimming trees, removing an old deck, excavating and grading the back yard. The front and back yard looks much better after the work was completed.
Dewayne did a great job with my Dry wall repair. Quick, on time. Was a small repair and now it looks as good as new.
Corey did a great job using a bulldozer to do a final grade on our recently logged and cleared property. Hard worker, very easy to work with! Definitely recommend!
Chad Perschon has been to our farm many times to do all sorts of tractor work, from grading to trenching to mowing. He has reasonable rates, and always shows up on time or before ready to work. In addition to high quality work, Chad is just a super nice guy. He is trustworthy and easy to get along with. We will use him again in the future.
Jason is a great communicator and advocate. His primary goal truly was to give us what we wanted. I would hire Jason again without concern. He met his timeline precisely and all growth work was immediately addressed. In most cases when Jason believed there was a potential problem, he never danced around it to avoid potential surprises. His subs were top notch and professional. Our biggest lesson learned with home renovations: do it when it's warm out, unless none of the home owners will be around during construction hours. We have beautiful new kitchen and flooring in our kitchen, dining room, and living room.
