FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on your career level and what you need. A $20 deposit is required to start — the rest is due when your project is complete and you are happy with it. Payment is collected through a PayPal-secured invoice, and you do not need a PayPal account to pay by card. Transitioning military service members receive a standing 10% discount on all resume products — no need to ask, just mention it when you reach out. Cover letters are available as an add-on. LinkedIn profile optimization and reference page formatting are also available — ask when you reach out and I will give you an exact quote based on what you need. There are no surprise charges. If your project turns out to need a higher tier than what you selected, I will catch it before work begins and walk you through it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Everything starts with a short intake form. You share your background, your target roles, and what is not working about your current resume — or tell me you are starting from zero. Either is fine. From there I review what you sent, ask any follow-up questions I need, and get to work. You will receive a draft, we refine it together until it fits, and the final version is delivered clean and ready to send. Most projects are done within a few business days. The whole process is remote and handled through written communication. No scheduling calls, no phone tag. Just clear, steady progress from intake to finished product.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a BS in Computer Science and am currently completing my MBA — both through Rasmussen University, where I also work as a tutor. But the credential that actually matters most for resume writing is not a degree. Before I started Create Your Resume, I worked in high-volume hiring. I know what happens on the other side of the desk — what recruiters actually look for, what gets a resume moved to the yes pile, and what gets it skipped without a second glance. That experience is built into every resume I write. Over 11 years of working with clients at every career stage has sharpened that further. I have written resumes for students, career changers, senior leaders, federal applicants, and everyone in between.
