- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Construction for the Dolce's has been a family business going back to Ruben's grandfather in Italy, and passed down through the generations. The technology and tools have changed of course but we are still passionate about creating beautiful work.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of our favorite projects is to turn dungeon-like basements into welcoming living spaces. We have done many of these projects and every time the homeowner was surprised by how much more space can be gained. Our last favorite one is located in the Magnolia neighborhood. Initially we finished the laundry area, a small living space and a room for the oldest son of the family. More recently we revisited the project and turn the room into a fully furnished apartment with a kitchen. They plan to rent the space in the future for and extra income.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Our advice is to find someone that you trust and are comfortable with allowing into your home. The peace of mind that you will get from this will in the long term out-weight all other considerations.
