I just want to start out by saying that Thumbtack would only let me choose three of the five qualities that made Novedad Floors great and I chose three but they are also punctual and responsive! I got my quote and initially began working with Zaid who I knew immediately was gonna be my guy. He caught things quickly during the initial estimate process that I didn’t even think of and his attention to detail was top notch. Zaid, Fernando and the rest of the team showed up two days later and got right to work. Throughout the entire process they kept me in the loop and made sure I was feeling good about how they were moving forward. If there was something I was confused about they made sure to explain it to me as layman as they could! My floors were a mess (thanks for sucking, parquet flooring from 1973!) but the drama I saw with the floors was easily worked through by both Zaid and Fernando and I appreciated that as I was extremely overwhelmed by it all. My floors look amazing because of them and now I can’t wait to have people over! I will be calling them in the future for more projects and you should too!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started working for a small family-owned company in North Carolina. The owner took me under his wing and taught me all aspects of floor installation. I loved the work and stayed with the company for nearly five years. I started my own flooring company when I moved to Washington state in 2000. I have over 25 years of flooring installation.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Well, that's where we installed luxury vinyl and carpet, the project took a day's work
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Customers looking to hire a quality flooring expert should consider the experience of the contractor and hire an owner/operator. I don't use subcontractors. I do all the work myself and am knowledgeable in all aspects of flooring installation.
