I had a 6 foot Kawai grand piano (over 700 pounds) to be moved from my Mom's place in Lacey to my home in Redmond. I did my homework as this was a big deal. It is a valuable piano and we wanted the piano to be up two flights of stairs at my home. Art evaluated a video of the stairs I provided and said it was not a simple job (honest and correct). His estimate was higher than others, but the others simply did not do their homework. Art provided evidence of his active insurance policy. I spoke with another customer who was VERY satisfied with Art's work (and shared videos of their work at her house). The move was done very carefully and expertly. I watched during the nearly 2 hours they worked at my home. I would absolutely hire Art and his team again. They REALLY earned their money with their careful, patient, expert work. If you have a cheap piano and a simple move, you could hire anyone. If you have a valuable piano or a more involved job, you want someone like Art. (Of note, Art has been doing this for many years, but has only had his own company for about a year, hence the fact that he has only more recent reviews.)

Details: Concert grand • No change in floors to load the piano • Stairs to unload the piano • 31 - 50 miles

Unsure of how we would be able to obtain a piano in the midst of COVID-19 quarantines, I’m so grateful that Piano Moving Art was the option I found! The process of moving a baby grand from Bothell to Vashon Island was as seamless as one could hope. These folks are well specialized, extremely responsive, communicative, friendly, accommodating, and professional. Their rates were much more competitive than other quotes we received, too! The piano seller (from Craigslist) informed me they were excellent in her home, as well.
