Scott R. says, "My experience with Tims’s Handyman Shocks was excellent. Although I never met Tim himself I’m guessing he’s not only the owner but the main handyman, his Thumbtack profile mentions that he has two other employees working with him, for a total of three. Monica, his assistant and office manager, was incredibly helpful and made the entire process clear and easy. It all started with a simple text message, followed by a phone call to get a better idea of the job I needed done. I needed rear brakes and rotors installed on my 2007 Honda Odyssey because I had no rear brakes left. I could hear the grinding of metal on metal and knew it was urgent and I could not delay the job. Most of the repair shops around me were quoting sky high prices for this job, even for just the rear brakes. I was not looking to spend an unreasonable amount of money, so I decided to save on parts by buying them myself through Amazon at a very reasonable price. Although I had the parts ready, I physically could not complete the work myself since I am disabled. That is when I found Tims’s Handyman Shocks on Thumbtack and reached out on a Sunday afternoon. Monica called me at four o’clock that same Sunday and told me that their certified mechanic, Christan, who handles all of their car repair requests, was available to do the job that day! Originally, I had asked for the work to be done on Monday morning, but they were able to accommodate me with same day service, which was a huge relief. Christan was fantastic super professional, polite, and very personable. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. He replaced my rear brakes and rotors quickly, within an hour maybe even less. While the price quoted by Tims’s Handyman Shocks was higher than I initially wanted to spend (since I had mentioned on Thumbtack that my budget was around fifty to one hundred dollars), I decided to go ahead and do it because, even with the higher price, I still saved several hundred dollars compared to the quotes I had received from local repair shops. Buying the parts on Amazon and having Christan do the installation through Tims’s Handyman Shocks was still a far better deal than any other repair shop offered. Christan also made sure everything was done correctly and that I was completely satisfied before he left. Monica handled the payment easily over text, which made the whole process seamless and convenient. Overall, it was a great experience, and I have saved Tims’s Handyman Shocks contact information for any future mechanic or handyman work I might need. Thank you so much for getting this done so quickly, I feel much safer on the road again. I will definitely use Tims’s Handyman Shocks again for any home or auto repair. It is clear that Tim’s employees really care about his reputation and about taking good care of their customers. I did not expect same day service, but it was awesome! Thank you again for everything!"

Ian S. says, "Lux Construct redid basically my whole house from the ground up, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I really appreciated how they listened to all my requests and responded with professional recommendations based on their previous experiences. Everything from windows to plumbing, electrical to architectural, there was always someone available to answer my questions and work with my requests. Everything happened basically on schedule and right on budget. Everyone I had the pleasure of interacting with was incredibly nice and obviously there to do the best job possible. We even got a follow up months after the job was complete to make sure everything was still working well and no problems had cropped up (they hadn't). I look forward to working with them again whenever home improvement opportunities arise."

I’m a U.S. Navy veteran who served as an Electrician’s Mate working on catapult and arresting gear systems—an experience that built my foundation in precision, safety, and reliability. After the military, I spent 20 years in the offshore commercial diving industry as a Saturation Dive Technician, maintaining and repairing complex electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and life‑support systems in demanding environments. Along the way, I developed strong woodworking and home‑repair skills. Today, I bring that same discipline and craftsmanship to every project, offering quality work in molding, flooring, fencing, decking, and a wide range of minor home repairs.
