- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a No Fix Bo Fee service. If we can't fix it there is no charge. No matter how many hours we spent on trying to fix the device. We will attempt to do our best to repair any device it's the only way we can survive as a company being highly successful at fixing devices and gadgets. During the attempt to repair the device and if we can not be successful there are always chances of it being in worse condition prior to attempting the repair and this is part of the risk both of us need to understand. If it had one broken wing and can't fly and we can't fix that wing and return with two broken wings it still can't fly. This is our No Fix No Fee.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been fixing things since a young age and did a lot of technical repair jobs at various employers and always the lead of the department. I have studied at I.T.T for electric engineering for my associate degree. I started my repair business from my garage helping neighboring customers and other repair shops to do microsoldering and other repairs they couldn't do. I continue to to do repairs for other cellphone and computer repair shops and we are now building our own brand Gadget Genie and we have a vision to become the best resource for all repairs and information about common gadgets and smart devices.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
iphone 6 Plus No Touch with flickering Grey bars. Requires Micro Soldering skills. The Iphone 6 plus is thin and wide like an ice tray when flexed it cracked the solder balls on two IC's integrated circuit that are responsible for touch controls of the device. It is a know issue and we repair them and add a fabricated shield to help prevent it in the future after the repair. We call this shield a flex stress shield. $175. for this repair save you money from having to buy a new device.
