I started taking lessons with Janina a month ago and have already learned so much. She is an excellent piano instructor and as a beginning adult piano player, I enjoy taking lessons with her immensely.Jan 5, 2018Verified

All the above. I love the way Janina approached my 3 year old granddaughter on her first day. She was very professional and made my g/daughter feel comfortable when we met her on the first day. I would recommend Janina's piano lessons to all children of different backgrounds who are interested in learning to play the piano. She was awesome and very patient.Sep 22, 2017VerifiedJanina's Piano Lessons's reply

Janina was very kind and attentive. She has designed an individualized lesson plan for my son whom has special needs and is great with my niece whom is also studying piano with her. Great teacher.Aug 24, 2017Verified

We love Janina on the first day we met her and introduce my 3-yr old granddaughter Mitimarie to her. She was very patient, kind, soft-spoken and really understands children of all ages. A very professional piano teacher who I highly recommend to parents. Thank you Janina.Oct 6, 2017Verified

Janina is a great piano instructor. My 5 year old son was with the Parks Organization for 4 months and in 3 weeks with Janina his level of play has improved substantially. Can't beat the service for the price in King County!Apr 10, 2017Verified
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I offer a free trial lesson for new students to see if they truly would enjoy pursuing lessons with me. During the first lesson, I go over my syllabus, contract, and the structure of my lessons - I specifically favor the Faber and Faber teaching method, which involves the duo's books. However, the lessons are what you choose to make of them! If you have an interest of musical pieces to learn, I am all ears. If all sounds enticing, we will begin weekly or biweekly lessons to your desire!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Along with a degree from the University of Wroclaw in Poland, I attended the University of Washington School of Music to pursue a Post Baccalaureate Certification in Music Education.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Music is like another language. I started teaching piano lessons as a hobby in Poland and Austria, but grew to love the field, to where I wanted to transform my hobby into a career. Currently I have been teaching for about 26 years.
