- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I just graduated from ITT Tech in 2013 with a AAS in Network Systems Administration. While I already had the experience and knowledge, I never had the paper or certs that said I do (other than work experience). I constantly keep up with forums, posts, newsletters, websites and magazines as well as co-workers about as many aspects of IT as possible. I'm currently working on my Bachelor's in Project Management.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father used to work on mainframes for the Air Force, and I used to visit him and see how things work from a major network standard, and as time went on to smaller and home computing, I started tinkering around and learning as much as I could. My first office Tech Job was Technical Support for AOL in 1996.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
While there isn't anything 'common' when it comes to I.T. the average seems to be reloading and OS, clearing out viruses or malware, and upgrading computers.
