Jay and his team did an awesome job on my aging 70+ year old cottage. He replaced my old vinyl siding with new Hardie lap siding. He replaced all of my single-pane windows and exterior doors. He even replaced my fascia boards. Once everything was installed he came back and painted weather permitting. His scheduling was flexible, especially when my door delivery was delayed. He’s accommodating to unforeseen obstacles and fair when it comes to pricing additional work including additional plywood. He has only one team he works with and they did a great job cleaning up every day and completing the work on time. He also actively works on the job site and was there for most of my project to ensure everything went smoothly. Highly recommend supporting a small business over a large siding contractor with salesmen. My cottage will last another 70+ years because the envelope is so water tight now.

Working with Jay was a positive experience and I was happy with the work. Jay explained the work he was proposing, and on the day of the project showed me the work being conducted and took pictures of other stages to be able to review the steps they undertook to ensure the windows were properly installed and the siding repair was completed to a high standard. His crew was professional and the worksite was left tidy.

I discussed this job with four contractors, and this one came through with a detailed estimate and a reasonable price. Within a couple of days of my signing Jay and his crew were there and completed the job within a sort of long day. We had two water-damaged walls on our commercial building. They fixed what needed fixing and replaced the siding. It looks great.

Highly recommend Jay! Not only he is a siding Expert, more important he is HONEST! Here is my experience. There is some water leaking between my gutter and siding. I thought it was a siding problem and Jay come onsite and did the inspection and identified the problem is from gutter. Then he went around the house and share a lot of detail knowledge about siding maitenance. Since it is not a siding problem he did not charge me anything, but the trust is build through the 30mins talk. In the future I will definitely call Jay if I have any siding repaire project!

Working with Jay at Smith Exteriors was in one word PHENOMENAL. Phenomenal in every way! I reached out to 3 siding companies and Jay was not only the first to respond, but the first to assess the project and provide an estimate. One week later Jay had his crew at our home and in 1 days time ripped out and replaced the siding on our chimney. Jay and his entire crew were professional, knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to work with. They will be back in late spring to re-side the rest of our home. I can’t recommend them enough.
