WDW develops our designs using BIM technology and software that creates 3-D intelligent models so our clients have the opportunity to virtually walk through their new space before it becomes a reality. Our 2 hour design consultation starts at $500 and is the perfect way to jumpstart your project without a large time commitment. Wilk Design Workshop FAQ's: 1. How does your process work? We have 3 main project phases that generally work for every project - Research, Design, and Execution. We gain background information to determine what services you need, design a personalized vision for your space, and assist contractors in the construction phase by answering any questions and providing feedback along the way. 2. How much does it cost? We bill hourly at $150/hr. Project fees are dependent on how large and complex your project is. 3. I want to do a large scale gut/ renovation of my house. How much can I expect to pay in design fees and construction costs? While project fees can vary greatly depending on the scope, most projects we work on cost around $250-350/ sq ft for construction costs only. Design fees are typically an additional 10-12% of the construction cost. 4. Why would I hire your team over a draftsman or regular architect? If you know exactly what you want and just need permit plans to submit to a jurisdiction for approvals, we are not the best fit for you. But if you are unclear on where to spend your money, love great design but aren’t sure of the direction you want to take, call us! We provide the most value when working with clients from the beginning concept design of their space through the final punch-list. 5. Do you have contractors or tradespeople in house? No, we partner with reliable, trustworthy contractors in the area to bring the design vision to life. We assist with bidding and negotiation, contractor selection, and construction administration, but we do not pick up the hammers.
