FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have found that a flat rate for a residential job is the best policy. There are no surprises and extra charges for stairs or spotting services. Most homes come in under $195 and some of the larger ones approach $350 but rarely do I charge more than that unless it is and extremely large home over 4000 square feet. My specialty services are on a bid basis, for odors and contamination; I have to see what will be required to accomplish the job and then price it out.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have actually taught many seminars to others in my industry but I do keep up with the latest trends.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was deodorizing a house for pet odors and my customer suggested I start carpet cleaning as well. So, I did! My first ten years was mostly commercial, all of the western WA Denny's and IHOP restaurants. I have gradually added residential customers via word of mouth over the years. Ninety five percent of my residential customers continue using my services year after year.
