Introduction

My name is Jose Luis Vicente, since I started working in construction, I felt the passion for what I really like to do, I get excited when I start a project and see it done, it's the biggest satisfaction. I remember my beginnings as a laborer working in several trades. I worked with metal studs, drywall hanging as well as tape and texture until I achieved the level of foreman. After many years in the trades I decided to start a new challenge. As a foreman of a 35-person crew we built 10 story buildings in and around Seattle area. From framing to drywall mud, tape and texture. Each project ran from $3-$5 million dollars. J Construction now does residential remodels too. So we can do your kitchen, bath, flooring, tile and many more services to make your home a masterpiece.

Jose was willing to make adjustments to our requests, and did a good job of build a half/pony wall for us as requested to create a space where I can work and separate our living room with a bookshelf on the other side that it can lean on. I am definitely willing to work with him and his team in the future.

Jose Luis and his crew did a great job renovating our shower area. He helped me weigh the pros and cons of a traditional insert tub versus a custom shower tiled pan and gave great insight on the steps needed to complete work. When unexpected things came up in the job, he was quick to show the approach he would take, but also consulted with me and let me discuss and understand why it was this way. Overall, I’m really satisfied with the work they did, moreover, I’m really satisfied with the timetable and communication of completing the work would definitely work with these guys again!

Working with Jose was an absolute pleasure. Jose was extremely responsive, clear, and competitive. It was clear that he knew exactly what he was doing via the questions he posed. When he got on-site, he prepped the work area and stood up the frame and drywall in no time. While waiting for the mud to dry, he was able to look at a few other long-standing items I wanted to take care of. On a few of the big-ticket items, he told me upfront that there were two ways to address the problems I had. The proper way would've taken much longer and would be costly. Instead of jumping to that option right away, he offered to try a less costly method which ultimately worked well enough that I decided to avoid the costlier option. I've since had Jose come back to address a few other items. At every turn, his attention to detail is impeccable. I'm glad we connected as I feel like my family now has a dependable contractor to turn to from here on out should I ever need anything else addressed.
