We have a established landscaped home and yard, and have had landscape rejuvenations several times over 20--plus years. Since the last renovation 4 years, the front and back yards had gotten overgrown, weed-ridden, mole-ridden, and pretty messy. Jorge and the crew who worked 2 full days replacing our small lawn, pruning several substantial trees, numerous shrubs, bushes, and flowering plants, weeding, and applying fertilizer, weed preventer, insect control, and beauty bark to all plant areas, left our place looking so much better than they found it. Jorge was very amenable to minor requests for adjustments, and was also very helpful in giving us hints on how to care for our lawn and plants. Their prices were very reasonable. They did a great job, and we would hire them again for similar projects.

Julio and his team did a wonderful job. They ripped out plants I didn't want, set down 25 - 2' x 2' pavers in my front yard, planted 5 Evergreens for privacy, brought soil and mulch, and trimmed the hedge. I can easily say I have the nicest front yard in my entire complex. I plan to have more work done in the near future. Julio's a hardworking all around good guy that loves his craft and it shows. I will hire Julio and his team for all my future landscaping needs.

Aaron was fantastic! He came out the same day to quote my yard and even recommended trimming my apple and cherry tree that were about to bloom to help them bloom better. He did a fantastic job. He got rid of all the gross moss in my front yard and cut some of the tree branches blocking the sun down so the yard would get more light. Looks much better now!

Cully and his crew were awesome. They fit us in super quick and had the job done in two days. We are very pleased with the results and Cully obviously knows a lot about different trees and shrubs. It was exactly as quoted and they were very conscientious about asking about any questions or changes. We will definitely hire them again when we have future projects!

Frank and his crew did a great job. We hired them for a combined project for a new sod (about 3000 sqft), a new patio, and a new sprinkler system. They came everyday at 7am and worked very professional. They also gave me opinions on my landscape. I later hired them to plant 12 green trees on my backyard and did some landscape work. The new front/back/side yard looks great after now. Their offer is not the lowest and not the highest I have been offered. But their work quality is super. I am really happy to work with them. They are very easy to communicate and trust worth. Wish their best for their business.

Very happy with Heather and her company. They were out here today as promised and did a great job clearing my backyard embankment. She's agreed to come out next week for another project, preparing a rose garden for planting. Heather is very knowledgeable about gardening and is quick to answer my questions and give me much-needed suggestions.

Our yard was quite over grown but it didn't seem to take long to get the overgrown shrubbery pruned and the lawn mowed and edged. They also removed a lot of brush from our fence line. Looks great now.

I have hired several different gardeners over the years, mainly to help with yard cleanup a couple times a year as I have a large yard that is too much for me. Bal by far has been the best. He is fast, knowledgeable about plants, and cost-wise is very reasonable. I highly recommend Bal for any landscaping or yard maintenance projects you may have.

We've used Ann's services steadily for 2 years now. I know everyone has their favorites, but I'm not kidding when I say she is AMAZING. First of all, I don't think you will find a better, more knowledgeable team to do GREAT general yard maintenance the proper way. But, the best part for us is that we use Ann for much more than that. Ann is a plant & landscape design expert, so she has created a long term plan to rejuvenate our older yard slowly over time while working within our budget. To help with this, at our request, she spent time teaching us little known techniques the pros use to get the work done quickly and properly. So to save on costs, we do the easy stuff like weeding, mowing and pruning using Ann's techniques. Her crew does the "heavy lifting" like moving plants and shrubs around according to her overall rejuvenation plan. On another note, last year, Ann designed a beautiful dog run area for us that turned out better than we ever imagined. No more brown spots on the lawn or us standing out there in the cold with the dog. That was life-changing. Ann also referred us to a GREAT arborist last summer who trimmed tall hedges and removed unwanted trees at a very reasonable cost. She has great industry contacts. To finally wrap up, before we found Ann, we were unhappy customers of another landscape crew, paying the same amount for them to just pull weeds, mow the lawn and ruin our shrubs by shearing them all into a ball with a hedge trimmer. They knew nothing about plants other than to make the yard look tidy when they drove off every week. There are many crews out there like that. But over the years, that approach destroyed our plants. Though I've already said a lot, I can't possibly say enough about how thankful we are to be working with Ann.

I found Sergio through Thumbtack after struggling to find any handyman services that weren't booked out weeks/months in advance and actually responded to me. I emailed Sergio from the website to initiate the process and from our initial email we began communicating via text message. Sergio came out on a Monday to provide a quote for significant yard work. The yard work included removing tons of overgrown and invasive plants on my grandmother-in-law's Kingston property (think blackberries et al) and removal of some random junk on the property, as well as cutting down of bamboo (grandma's property has a creek running through it and there's more bamboo than the fertile lands of Asia). Sergio reviewed everything we wanted done and quoted it would take about 40 hours with 3 guys to process the work and removal of everything we wanted done. The rate is $25 per hr per worker so the estimate worked out to about 3k. Of course, I'm always expecting unexpected things to come up and I have zero experience hiring someone to do significant yard work like this. Sergio and I agreed to the work via text after receiving the quote. The next Monday morning he and one of his guys showed up promptly at 8am and began hacking away at junipers and blackberry plants on the property with machetes (what. haha.) I live in Seattle so I wasn't easily able to come out and constantly check on their progress. Sergio had one guy with him on Monday and Tuesday-Thursday he had two guys with him. Initially, we planned on them finishing on Friday but something came up and they promptly came (four guys, actually) on Saturday and finished everything off. The actual cost for (approximately) 40 hours with 3 guys was about $3,300 with about $750 in dump run fees (yeah bringing all those trimmings and leaves sure get expensive at the Kitsap dump, I've done it on my own in the past). And then sales tax for his services a couple hundred. Overall, it was about 4k, which was 1k over budget but seeing as $750 was dump run costs and like $350 was sales tax, it totally met my expectations. Sergio and his crew are polite, fast, friendly, and hard working. I'm pleased that we selected Sergio for our yard work. They did a significant amount of yard waste hacking and removal. My grandmother-in-law is very attached to some of the plants so they were very careful about preserving and protecting specific plants (whichever plants so wanted stayed, and the overgrown invasive plants growing on top of them were removed) and Sergio and his crew were clearly professionals at handling these Pacific Northwestern flora. If you're looking for someone who will work hard for you and be very fair, I would recommend emailing, calling, or texting Sergio to bring him out for a quote. Other projects we are about to have done that Sergio may be involved with and stated he and his crew can do, and will quote separately: -power washing and painting her house -grading, levelling, and filling her drive way with rock -aerating and seeding grass and laying sod -placing pavers to create unprecedented walkways -removal of old fences and installation of new fences So in addition to yard and junk waste removal, as well as professionally manicuring her plants, shrubs, and trees, Sergio and his team can do pretty much anything. Contact him for a quote. I highly recommend. :)

We have worked with Matt for the last two summers, and will tackle the third and final phase of our project this summer, 2016. Matt and his crew installed a stone path with steps down to our back gate, and a stone staircase up a steep slope from our back yard to our front, on the side of our house. The design included planting beds and lighting. MLG selected plantings for the pathway, and made recommendations for future plantings. Matt also built three garden boxes for our yard, out of sturdy and beautiful juniper. We so appreciated Matt working within our budget, and helping us break up our project into workable phases. We are excited to watch as the plantings fill in. This summer will see the design and installation of a new back gate, and more landscaping. It has been a pleasure to work with Matt and his crew. They were timely, worked hard, and cleaned up as they went. Matt was easy to get hold of, and always responsive. A great experience!
