FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Currently offering complimentary engagements shoots upon wedding bookings of four hours or more! Weddings and events have a two hour booking minimum. Additional hours may be purchased on the day of the event subject to photographer's availability.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1: After discussing fees, dates, availability, etc. I send every client a contract. (Never book a photographer without a contract! It protects you too!) Step 2: Upon deposit, I schedule the complimentary engagement shoot. Step 3: Before the event, I reach out to finalize any details and make sure I know the schedule for the big day and your expectations for photographs. Step 4: The big day! I begin with documenting the preparation of the event, the bride and groom getting ready, and then I'm with you every step of the way. But, I don't believe the biggest memory of your day should be the photographer. My goal is to be as discrete as possible. The best compliments I get are "we didn't even realize you were there to get that shot". Step 5: Editing! Exact timing depends on workload, but you'll have your photos back within 6 weeks of the event (usually quicker). You can expect around, at minimum, 50 finished photographs per hour of shoot time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While my formal education was in English Literature, I have over ten years of experience in photography, years I've spent honing my craft, attending workshops, reading photobooks, etc.
