Michelle discusses what is to be done and gives her expert opinion. She sets up the fonts on the computer, etc. with you... so there are no misgivings on how the embroidery work will look. Then takes the items home and gets it done quickly. She does beautiful work.

My first sewing lesson with Scott was on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Scott was outstanding. He's patient and also very encouraging. Since I had zero experience in sewing, Scott started with basics which was extremely helpful, especially understanding the terminology used for fabric, how to use fabric, and how to know the difference between natural and synthetic fabric. Scott really took the time to ensure I understood what was being taught. His examples also made it easier for to comprehend how to use fabric. Part of my lesson included teaching me how to thread my sewing machine and bobbin, and tips and tricks to threading. In summary, Scott is an excellent instructor. He is absolutely knowledgeable and experienced. I will be scheduling several more lessons. If you're looking for a seasoned and exceptionally experienced sewing instructor who is patient and encouraging, you definitely want to hire Scott.

Leisa gave me excellent guidance on my sewing project. She showed me how to do it, explained why and then made sure I understood so I could do it. I am delighted with the final product and plan to set up another lesson soon to make a different dress. Leisa was patient, easy going and supportive. I happily recommend her for lessons and feel very lucky to have found her to teach me sewing.

About

I have been sewing, knitting and crocheting since I was 6 years old. I was inspired and taught by my grandmother and spending summers at my grandparents house. I began by using scraps of yarn or fabric and "designing" my own creations. I have always loved teaching others the crafts of sewing, knitting and crocheting. began teaching for a local fabric and craft store in the early 1990's, then also taught/teach private lessons in my own studio. I have had my owned custom sewing, embroidery, alterations and teaching business for 7 years. I specialize in alterations, custom sewing, design, pattern making, home decorating projects, costumes, and more.
