Ada is a very knowledgeable trainer and I would highly recommend her! She was extremely quick at responding to my inquiry and arrived on time for our session. She provided incredible insight on why my dog reacts the way he does and gave us tools/homework to do in between sessions so he can continue with his training. She did practice exercises with us and I have never seen my dog react this calmly to a stranger. I truly am blown away at the incredible progress that he showed in just one session! She is very professional and personable and really works with you to understand how to best handle different scenarios with your pup. I look forward to seeing the progress continue throughout further sessions!

Ada is an excellent trainer. I like how she came to our home for the training session. Our dogs were much more comfortable and focused. She was patient with our pups and gave us thorough explanations for everything she taught. Both of our dogs enjoyed her treats and attention. We saw improvement in their behaviors almost immediately. Not only did she train the dogs, she trained us. We'll likely need a couple follow up visits, but the initial consult and training session went great!

Ada is amazing. Our rescue has reactivity and aggression issues. After the first lesson with Ada we have a better understanding of why Aspen reacts the way she does, and a plan on how to work on it. We have been to multiple trainers before, none were able to provide the insight that Ada did. Looking forward to working with her again!

I travel to your home and teach you the skills needed to set you and your dog up for success. We also learn to work through distractions in ways that build reliable understanding.
Private Lessons can get you on the right track with:
•Loose leash walking
•Reactive and fearful dogs
•Growling over toys and bones
•Coming when called from any distraction
•Crate/potty training and puppy nipping
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to listen to an owner and be sure I really understand what their goals are and then I create a plan of action with them. I am there every step of the way to troubleshoot their needs and celebrate their successes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed.) It is a widely acknowledged exam delivered by a third-party council that ensures trainers are committed to continually developing their knowledge of scientific and positive training.
I have also completed my KPA-CTP (Karen Pryor Academy - Certified Training Partner)
This program was 7 months long and required me to travel 2 hours away several times to meet with my instructor to be evaluated on my knowledge and training skills.
Both of my certifications require continual renewal by submitting proof of attendance to seminars, workshops, and classes to ensure my knowledge is always up to date.
