FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our standard local moving rate is $200 per hour for two movers and a truck, with a 3-hour minimum. Each additional mover is $100 per hour. Our standard $150 truck & travel fee covers dispatch, fuel, mileage, and crew travel time to and from the job location. Longer routes are quoted separately based on the route. Your exact travel charge is explained and confirmed in writing before booking—never added as a surprise. Moving blankets and tape used during the move are included. Stairs, elevators, parking distance, and long carries are reviewed in advance because they may affect the total work time; there are no surprise access fees. Items over 250 lbs, special equipment, additional labor, and packing supplies are reviewed and quoted in writing before booking. We offer a 5% discount for military personnel and hospital or healthcare workers.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we confirm the move date, pickup and drop-off locations, home size, inventory, stairs or elevators, parking, long carries, and heavy items. We may request photos or video so we can prepare an accurate estimate. After the customer approves the scope, we reserve the crew and truck. On moving day, the foreman reviews the plan, protects the home and furniture, and documents any requested changes before extra charges are added. The final bill is reviewed at completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team receives hands-on training in furniture protection, safe lifting, loading and unloading, truck organization, packing, disassembly and reassembly, customer communication, and damage prevention. Drivers and vehicles are managed under applicable licensing, insurance, safety, and inspection requirements.
