Introduction: The things that make my work stand out from others that offer the same services are; I'm very personable and make the client feel that they are special. I create an energy between the client and myself that is comforting and bring to my work a certain level of friendliness and not so stuffy and still show that I am professional in what I do. I have a natural ability that allows a person to know that they can trust me in taking care of their private things. I let my clients be aware immediately that persistance in accuracy is very important to me. My clients see the quality and care of how I approach my work by the loving and attentive way I take care of them, their pets and their personal needs. What I love about what I do the most is the taking care of and pampering people. Seeing how much people appreciate having someone around who is not only professional but, someone who truly cares about their clients' well being.

December 3, 2008 Recommendation for Pierre Wilson: Pierre Wilson has been my “concierge” since April or May. He learned what groceries I buy or would think too expensive. He has learned my filing system. Pierre is a quick study, has beautiful phone manners, and superior handwriting. (The drug store I use for medicines is more of a challenge than I want to handle. He never “looses it.”) Pierre exercised my pure bred dogs for me and is terrific with them. He is trusted with my nearly new Lexus. He had the right decorating sense for a bedroom. He an extraordinary person, marvelous! His roommate also speaks of how honest and sensitive Pierre is-- James and I were college teachers. We can count on Pierre’s reliability: He is where he says he will be. He has excellent spelling and communication, and totally trustworthy. Never have I had a confrontation with Pierre, yet he can stand his own ground. And, Pierre is fun! Sincerely, Nancy Watts, nanwatts@pacbell.net

Pierre took care of our kitty while we were on a two week vacation this summer. She needed lots of special care because she had had a stroke shortly before we left. Pierre gave her lots of loving and kept careful notes on how she was doing, and made sure she received her medicine. We couldn't have asked for a more caring person to take care of our pet. He also took care of our mail, kept our house in good shape, and watered our garden. I would recommend Pierre to anyone who is looking for help with pet care or house sitting. He is also a fantastic cook!

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The specific services I offer most being a concierge to my clients are: running personal errands, shopping (everything from; groceries and gifts to furniture and even fixtures). I've also offered the daily organizing of a client's personal, business or travel itinerary as their (personal assistant). With several clients, the above would also include long-term house-sitting, pet-sitting and party and event planning.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

About a month ago, I was asked to perform a pet sitting service for a "new" local client who had a cat that was trying to recover from a stroke. It was a small female cat and she had lost the proper use of the left side of her body. So, she wobbled a lot and frequently lost her balance. She required going to the client's home twice a day and the project lasted for 2 whole weeks. Each visit required that I feed her, keep her company, lots of physical contact to keep the animal stimulated. I also had to administer a liquid medicine she had to have also twice a day every day. This was not so difficult for the first couple of days until it looked as though she fell out of recovering and started to become extremely unbalanced in her walking and stopped eating all of a sudden. There wasn't much I could do but pay extra (petting) attention to her. I would come to the house and after all the basics were taken care of, I would lay down with her or have her jump in my lap and rest while I pet her. Things looked quite uncertain from that day till the owners returned from their vacation. She seems to be o.k. and hasn't gotten worse. The owners were very pleased in the way I handled the situation and of course a pleased client is always my end goal.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

In hiring any type of service, you should always know that they are licensed and they have checkable client/business references. Also ask around, someone local my have used the services before. Don't always assume that because another client didn't have rave reviews to give about a certain person's or company's service, that it was all because of poor work or ineffeciency on the part of the service provider. Quite often, there are personality issues that come up between service seeker and provider and a project may take longer than cited or canceled because of it. There are also (unfortunately), people that make a living out of requesting services and although everthing goes well, the client makes up something to justify their not paying for services in full. These things do happen.
