Introduction: You can't teach 'personality'. I truly love what I do and getting to know people & finding that connection is really what makes photography what it is. It's not the camera, it's not the lens (ok, a really nice lens can make magic happen, sometimes), it's what the photographer does to capture look in your eyes, instigate that unexpected moment of laughter and document the moment that you will hang on your wall for years to come.
It's hard not to sound cliched, and I try not to, but there are too many people out there who can compose an image, say "SMILE ON 3" and CLICK..
For me, it's all about capturing the moment. I don't mean 'just shooting candid shots' and hoping for the best - it's about connecting with people and finding out what makes them tick. Knowing how to operate a camera is second nature and not what real photographers worry about.
