I used Jared and his team to design a 4200 square foot custom home on a 4.5 acre lot. The team listened to my initial ideas for aesthetic and came up with a plan that was about 90% of the way there. We then sat down in a design meeting to make some changes here and there and the whole thing was completed in a couple of months. After that, Ethan submitted the permit application and we went from there. The communication was always prompt and professional.There are two negative reviews, both complaining that Jared disappears after being paid. That was not my experience. In fact, I contacted Jared again over a year after the initial plans were produced to have a meeting about interior design ideas and we had several such meetings. Jared modeled some options for us using his design software. He even responded to a question I had just a few months ago, two years after the plans were finalized.There is also a review complaining about porch, window, and door sizes. The final plans were emailed to me in PDF form and clearly specify the exact dimensions of everything. It's the same plans that the city uses to approve the permit and the builder uses to build. The plans include a spreadsheet of the sizes of all opening (doors and windows) along with their heights off the floor. Jared's team even sent me the source Chief Architect file so I could open it on my own computer and view the plans that way. In other words, there are no surprises by the time construction starts if you're paying attention and carefully studying your plans.

We highly recommend Jared and his team for designing custom homes. He and his team transformed our 1946 waterfront cabin on Vashon into a beautiful house, with a well thought out and functional floor plan that capitalizes on the views. The design reflects exactly what we envisioned. There was a lot of engineering involved because its on a steep slope, plus King County required a small portion of the existing foundation to remainwhich was tricky to do. We are very glad we hired the engineer Jared recommended because there was a significant amount of coordination needed between the structural and architectural design. During the construction phase, Jared was readily available to answer questions and guide our contractor (including code requirements). When our project is complete, Ill post before and after pictures!!!
