- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our education and training for Christian counseling focus on the power of the Holy Spirit and the word of God. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the ultimate source of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding and that His guidance is essential for effective counseling. We also believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word and is the ultimate source of truth and guidance for counseling. Our courses emphasize the prayerful and faithful study of the Bible and its application to counseling. We provide instruction on the various aspects of Christian counseling, such as understanding the needs of the counselee, developing counseling strategies and techniques, and applying the Bible to counseling. We also provide practical application of the principles of counseling, such as listening, understanding, and evaluating. Finally, we emphasize the importance of cultivating a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, as their guidance and wisdom are essential for effective Christian counseling.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research and look for a Christian counselor who has the qualifications and experience necessary to meet your needs. It's important to find someone who is well-versed in the Christian faith and can provide you with sound advice and spiritual guidance. Make sure the counselor is a good fit for your situation. Consider what type of counseling approach they use and if it is compatible with your beliefs and values. Ask if the counselor is able to provide spiritual direction. This could include prayer, Scripture reading, and spiritual activities that could be beneficial to your mental health and overall well-being.
