Nolan gave us a very reasonable quote for mounting a 65" TV over our fireplace. He even brought along a mount which he showed us was far superior to the somewhat flimsy one we had purchased at Sams and will be returning tomorrow. He showed us the mount's price on Best Buy's website and charged us the same amount. Due to the chimney area, and/or some other construction aspect of our 1980's era condo , it was not a straight forward job. I'm so glad I didn't try to do this myself. Overcoming the obstacle, Nolan spent extra time making sure the mount was solidly attached and that the TV was perfectly level. He had even brought along and installed a cordmate kit (which he sold to us at his cost) to conceal the wires running to our various devices. I was pleasantly surprised that he stuck with his original quote for labor which Im sure was based on considerably less time than he actually spent on our project. Thank you Nolan! We even talked about hiring him for a couple future projects.
Thumbtack emailed a quote within 1 hour of my request. Jarrod, of Good Hands Dependable Services provided his phone number with his bid; I called to arrange a date for the couch and woodscraps to be hauled. He suggested immediately (it was already O-dark:30), and he arrived within 10 minutes of his forecast. He is a responsive and literate communicator, fair priced, timely and efficient; not to overlook clean-cut, proper work clothes, and appropriatelly equipped vehicle. I do not know how Thumbtack is vetting contractors but this is my third good experience, keep doing it.
Highly recommend. Of all the contractors hired to prep our home for sale, Corey was the first to send his proof of insurance. He was prompt, reliable, flexible, and did what he said he would do plus a little bit extra. He completed tasks requiring a wide range of skills and exhibited tenacity, flexibility and quality. If you’re not sure who to choose, you won’t be disappointed choosing Corey and his team. Thank you, Corey!
We had a roof leak that Brian and Paul traced back to it's source and fixed it. They were both professional friendly and pleasant to work with. At no point did Brian try to sell me on replacing the roof or a large swath of it as many other contractors do. I would totally recommend B&M and if I had another issue would definitely use them again.
Seghei was able to come out to my Kirkland home a few hours after we made contact on a weekday, gave me a fair quote for the job -- framing in a pre-hung door into a finished entryway -- and completed the work that same evening. I had lumber and door, he had all his own tools (including table saw) as well as screws, etc. Though English is not his primary language he was very communicative in asking my preferences (e.g. leaving room for drywall, centering the door in opening vs. to one side) and letting me know the door would be level but the wall he was framing against was not. The door is indeed level and solid, great job and value.
The Yard Guy gave me a response almost immediately on line, and called to schedule an appointment within the half hour. Came to my home, gave me a quote and was able to get the work done within a few hours. He was very nice, very professional and I'm happy knowing I have found a new contractor I will be using again and referring to others. His work was great!
Anthony worked on my project and gave helpful insights into other options I could do and was very understanding when I asked to change the scope of work half way through... Dave was awesome also, will definitely hire again because they made the whole experience easy and under budget
The owner did a great job installing our wood floors and our back splash! He was very professional and even willing to go the extra mile on some detailed work. It's so hard to find a quality contractor who values the customer's satisfaction like Igor. I highly recommend!!
When you buy a new house, the last thing you want to deal with is an insurance claim. Well, that's what happened to us. One week into our new house, we had a restroom upstairs leak and cause damage in the adjacent room as well as our den downstairs. While dealing with this panic, the first thing we did was to engage our Insurance provider to open up a claim. The insurance company did a great job of getting the process started but providing vision into "how fast I can get rid of this problem and restore your life" is where the dots disconnected. My insurance company certainly provided a "list" of contractors I could work with but before I called any of them, I looked them up online. As expected, each one of them either had 2 or 3 stars out of 5 with several recent negative reviews. At this point, I knew that I had to handle this on my own. Thumbtack was the first place I tried and this is where I found Robert from Hawaiian Construction, LLC. Looking at his reviews, I knew it was worth having a conversation with him. I also invited several other contractors from Thumbtack to come out and provide me an estimate. Out of all the contractors I worked with, Robert was the most thorough. He showed up with a notebook and camera and wrote every little thing down that I mentioned. He also informed me that he leverages the same software as insurance adjusters and will work directly with the adjuster in doing the right thing for me. This is exactly the reason I went with Robert. The minute I signed up with Robert, he basically took over the entire operation and I could take a deep breadth. Robert did any additional work that needed to be done down replacing every door stopper and making sure that the insurance covered these minor things that were not identified previously. Talking about paying meticulous attention to details! We recently completed all the work that needed to be done and I can confidently say that my property looks "exactly" as it was before if not better! I am extremely thankful to Robert and his wife Julie for all of their assistance with this project. We can finally put this issue behind us and continue on with our lives thanks to them. If you are reading this review and are trying to figure out your next steps in choosing which contractor to go with, do yourself a favor and contact Robert. You will not regret your decision. These things happen but choosing the right partner to work with can make a lot difference!
I was recommended to Emerald Flooring and Carpentry through a friend of mine who spoke highly of John Coffey's services. He was very professional and easy to work with. The laminate flooring and baseboard came out beautifully. Highly recommended.
Chris and his son did some framing for my new construction home. The worked fast and the work was very good quality. Thanks!
I did hire these contractors and they did a great job for me. Had a bathroom up dated and they came in very professional, things were done in a timely matter. This is a father and son team that knows the business. I will be having future work to be done and hope these folks will do it for me. This team is my new go to place to call when I have projects. Thanks again guys you were great
The contractor did awesome prep the floor for the tile flooring. We will have him do more work on our properties.
Working with TJ was great. He responded to my request for help immediately and was out at my place the next day! He assisted me with various handyman projects such as drywall repair, range hood installation, and floor transition piece installation. His quality of work was very good and I would absolutely use him again.
Very clear about the price beforehand, showed up the same day (evening) I requested the work, and did a good job covering some holes in the siding made by woodpeckers. They arrived a bit later than estimated, but not enough to warrant docking a star. I would hire them again.
Cliff cut soffits and replaced vents in our roof. We had very hard time getting roofing contractors to come out and assess the work as we are in peek roofing/rainy season. Cliff gave us a reasonable quote below the cost of other roofing contractors and completed the project in less than a day.
KBM Northwest came to our house and put in new Crown Moulding, a tile backsplash, a porch remodel, and some other miscellanious finish work. I have never met a contractor that was actually more picky with MY HOUSE than I was. He would take the time to massage a piece of material that I was already 100% satisfied with and work it and work it and work it until it was absolutely perfect to him and he didn't charge me a dime for the difference. It was like he had to sign his name to it for generations to see. I've used countless contractors over the years, and I've never seen anything like it. If anyone can find a better contractor to do a better job at a better price then you have found a sasquatch riding a unicorn carrying a bouquet of four leaf clovers because in my experinece that contractor does not exist. Trust me. I've learned the hardway. KBM Northwest is the best.
Chris has been very professional, prompt and his quality of work has been the best. We are in the middle of a major bath remodel and he has fine an outstanding job with framing, plumbing and window replacement. We will continue to use his services
My builder for life The people at Fine Design Build are part craftsman, part artist, part magician. I learned the hard way, courtesy of my previous builder, that you need all three qualities in your contractor. Most builders, quite frankly, operate with only one or two of those qualities - and then only in varying degrees of goodness. Like a two-legged stool, it shows in the results. If you want it done right- and not only right, but beyond what you might ask or imagine - I can't imagine a better choice than Fine Design Build. As I write this review, we're finishing up the remedial work on what passes for "industry standard" (right!, Industry standard is a code term for shoddy workmanship, inferior materials, crooked walls, bad ergonomic design, squeaky subfloors, poor paint work, bad excavation, and so on), and I am amazed that they have made some pretty challenging projects look like they were done right the first time- as originally intended! Considering what they had to work with (so-called industry standard), its incredible really. That's where the magician part comes in. With future big projects planned (a shop/barn and a timber frame home), it is comforting to know I have found a builder for life. I only wish I knew Fine Design Build before I got started on this cottage - you know, the one built to industry standards. If this review sounds a bit over the top, it's only because the results are over the top - results that have swung me from utterly frustrated to completely overjoyed.
Getting professional remodelers in Seattle Bellevue area in a short amount of time can be overwhelming. Tulga reached out to me and completed the estimation on day one I submitted the request in Thumbtack. His availability and responsiveness is unparalleled. He will return your call for sure. I was redoing the place from start to finish (painting, patching, kitchen cabinets, countertops, finishing's, bathroom, sink, hardwood flooring, electrical, plumbing, windows etc ) you name it. Talking to different contractors, making sure they show up in time and work in close coordination with other contractor employees can be intimidating to handle. Tulga picked up the entire laundry list of activities and ran with it. I didn't believe in penny pinching as I had the peace of mind that everything will be taken care of the way we want it. He gave us a reference where to look for all the stuff that we were shopping for. And doing a market comparison, we ended up saving a few 100 dollars. We chose and he picked up the stuff for us. I got him the permission to start his work on 21st and with a deadline of 10 days. He got 85% done by that time. It was a tremendous amount of work per-se, at one point I was having 11 people working at the same time on different things. I was about to move in on 1st, but I had to prepone it to 29th instead. He made sure, he caters to this aggressive timelines. There was work that happened after we moved in, but he planned meticulously so that it creates the minimum fuss. Another thing, as we progressed, there were surprises, hot water tank busted, kitchen exhaust wont work etc, he made sure that was taken care of. One thing I like about him is he is upfront, he will tell you what's covered and what isn't in the contract. So there are no grey areas. I would call him for any work that I might have in future without a 2nd doubt. He is a busy man so if you get a chance to work with him grab it with both hands, he wouldn't disappoint.
Top quality service with reasonable prices, he helped us remodel our kitchen and bathroom. He saved us quite bit of money with good suggestions and not fixing stuff that’s not broken unlike other contractors who create more work. I’d hire him again for any project, he is versatile and knows his stuff.
