Introduction: I'm Lauren, a nutrition + healthy lifestyle coach -- and SO glad you're here today! As someone who has wasted many years of my life obsessing about food, I understand first-hand the fears and struggles you're probably going through. Like many of you I wondered if I'd feel better on a low-carb/low-fat/(insert any other diet trend here), worried about how I looked in the mirror every day and always wanted to do it all but lacked the energy and self-confidence to really show up in my job/relationships/ every day life. Through both my personal journey and solid foundation in nutrition -- including a holistic health coach certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition -- I've learned how to free my brain from negative self-talk and the confusing mathematics of food and diet fads (calorie-counting anyone?), giving me the space I needed to listen to my body and what it truly needs. I'm now at peace with my mind, I've restored balance in my life and I live it on MY terms (NOT food's). This has enabled me to live a happy, healthy, vibrant life with the freedom to focus on the things that matter most like family, friends, career, joy, laughter, travel and love. I personally know how real the struggle is, and I don't want you to carry this burden alone. Lauren has been doing nutrition consulting with me for awhile now. I love her approach and her depth of knowledge is clear. She's helped me to gradually crowd-out foods and behaviors that don't meet my goals through a variety of tactics and methods- from awesome recipes of her own creation to recommending books and blogs from nutritionists she respects to coming to my home to teach me how to prepare my meals to helping me understand at a more scientific-level what I was putting into my body and the metabolic impacts. I never felt judged and I love that she practices what she preaches. Her hands-on approach has empowered me to live a healthier and happier lifestyle. I've been fortunate enough to have Lauren cook for me before and she is amazing at making healthy food taste delicious. I am not vegan nor gluten free, but her meals make me think I could be because you never feel as though you're missing out! She has unique ideas as well as healthy, updated versions of classic comfort foods. Whenever I need to come up with something that is especially nutritious or for those with food restrictions I know I can turn to her blog for awesome recipes, ideas, and techniques.

    We'll start with a complimentary health consult so I can learn more about you and your needs and ensure I'm the best person for the job.   • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Yes, I've totally been there and I've got your back. But I also have a Minor in Nutrition through Arizona State University, am a Certified Holistic Health Coach accredited through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and a food & culinary nutrition blogger for SofreshNsogreen.com. I've also spent 10+ years in the corporate and tech world and have experienced how difficult it can be to take care of your body, yourself, and your family when you're living every day in such a fast-paced, high-stress world.
