Introduction: I'm looking for hard working clients who understand the value that design-forward thinking can lend their new (or established!) businesses. Many designers today neglect data and can be considered decorators instead of designers. My goal is to move from that model of design and work towards strategic design that helps your business reach your objectives successfully. Most recently, I worked as a graphic designer at Southern Kitchen, initially a vertical company at Cox Media Group prior to transitioning to an event and commerce platform with Gatehouse Media Group. During the transition I advanced from Senior/Lead Graphic Designer to Art Director, as I managed GHM designers who assisted with marketing assets through other GHM properties, a junior designer and worked with developer and merchandising vendors and their creative teams. I've also worked with the well-established KEH Camera, designing and managing their email campaigns. My responsibilities included asset creation and content management for both digital and print marketing. My primary role as email designer was to work with various departments to create relevant and new content for email marketing, which saw a 61% lift during my time at KEH Camera. Research was a pertinent part of campaign development, and required expert input from in-house technicians as well as collaboration with marketing and operations. Previous to KEH Camera, I worked for a multi-channel luxury home decor/gift start up in Atlanta, managing and designing print and web creative assets for marketing, retail signage, social media content, as well as copy and brand design. Other responsibilities included illustration and design work for exclusive brand packaging and labeling, actively maintaining the front end of our e-commerce site and inventory image banks and occasional photography/set styling for catalog assets.

We have been very impressed with our experience. Everything they have designed has come out looking great and in a timely fashion. Even when something needs to be rushed, it is not a problem for them. They are very easy to work with! We will continue to use Amanda Pharis Design for all of our graphic design projects.

I have commissioned several pieces from Amanda for many years with several different media from traditional pieces of art for an art auction to my wedding save the dates and invitations as well as T-shirt designs. I have personally witnessed her growth and talent as an artist. She is amazing at what she does and you will love her work. -Liz

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When I first meet with a new client, I want to thoroughly understand their business objectives and who their audiences are. Once I know their ultimate goals, I can then begin to develop a strategy that will work best for them and their audiences. After a design strategy is agreed upon, we can then begin the design and implementing process with a mutual plan as a blueprint towards the businesses' goals.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BFA from the Art Institute of Atlanta, with 10 years experience as a lead Graphic Designer and Art Director. I have also taken many online courses in UI/UX strategies and design, as well as an active participant in AIGA events and classes.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I have had the pleasure and opportunity to work with a wide breadth of clients: from major brands with online e-commerce presence to start ups/small businesses with only 1-2 employees.
