- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We provide a free walkthrough and a clear written estimate before any work begins — labor and materials broken out line by line, with no hidden fees. If anything changes mid-project, we discuss it first and get your written approval on a change order before extra costs are added. You can also request a free online estimate anytime through our website.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, a quick call to understand your project. Then we visit the site, take measurements, and talk through options and budget. You'll get a detailed written estimate, and once approved we handle scheduling and any permits. During the build we keep you updated with photos and progress reports, and we finish with a final walkthrough to make sure you're 100% happy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
TJ Construction is a licensed, bonded, and insured Washington general contractor (L&I #TJCONC*740L5). Before becoming a contractor, I spent years on the owner's side of construction — planning and managing more than 10 restaurant and café build-outs from empty shell to opening day. That experience taught me how to run projects on real budgets and real deadlines.
