They made time to fit our project in even when they were busy. They did a great job on a tough spot with fence footings above a rockery

The team did a great job forming a concrete wall, steps, and driveway apron. This was not an easy job, with some hand work, forming, and a lot of concrete finish work, requiring attention to detail. I was really happy they cleaned up promptly and was overall pleased with the work they did.

I cannot recommend Polo enough, his number will stay bookmarked in my phone for any landscaping needs in the future as well as recommendations to friends and family. I've been burned by contractors in various trades both residentially and in my business, it seems there are far more disreputable ones than not out conning the masses with over promised and under delivered while upping their bids or coming up with "unforeseen costs". In the state of Washington, anyone can get a contractor's license, without testing (except for electrical and plumbing), as long as he or she post a bond with the state and have insurance. As a result, there are so many "drunk uncles" out there bidding jobs and then throwing unqualified minimum wage paid workers on them to bilk unsuspecting home owners with no state oversight to protect you. It is "Buyer Beware". POLO is the opposite! After seeking bids from multiple contractors through Home Advisor and Thumbtack I sensed an immediate affinity with his professional attitude, communication, respect, and honesty. Polo brought in a crew of diligent, hard working guys focused on the tasks at hand and exceeded my always high expectations. He is personable, punctual, assessed me of all options, intelligently made recommendations that were taken (at no additional cost to the fair and agreed upon bid) and is providing additional oversight of the landscaping for a month, included at no additional fee, so as to assure plantings are established and stable. I am heartened to say Polo has diminished some of my cynicism by showing me there are still ethical young contractors establishing professional businesses the old fashioned way; by doing what they say they are going to do and then going the extra mile and actually doing more! Give Polo a call before his calendar is too full with other happy clients such as my wife and I! Mark Monroe / Mercer Island

This past month my wife and I hired Alex (Alex Concrete) to excavate and grade a 29' x 18' portion of our backyard, build a 32' x 30" reinforced retaining wall, pour a 18' x 12' patio slab with thickened edges, and place post brackets for a deck and patio cover for our home in Ballard. From estimate to finish the project took two and half weeks and we are very satisfied with the results. Alex was able to provide us with an estimate and detailed proposal of work within 48 hrs over a holiday weekend. The price was very reasonable compared against 4 other estimates. He completed every action item on the proposal. He was very patient and helped us work through and trouble shoot some structural and design issues as well as reinforced and poured some extra concrete pieces to improve the quality and function of our design at no extra cost. Alex and his team were friendly, professional, and hardworking throughout the duration of the project. We will gladly recommend Alex Concrete to any friends and neighbors in need of a concrete contractor in the future.

We hired Edgar Perez to build a 50 foot long retaining wall in our backyard and have been very happy with the results. This was the first time we were contracting somebody for a project this big and we were a bit anxious, not sure how much it should cost, or how long it would take. We had an estimate from another company which was about 15% lower than Edgar's, but Edgar had previously built a retaining wall in a similar situation and showed us pictures from that project. He also suggested including steps down the middle for the price which we felt was a very useful suggestion. The one thing that finally made us decide to go with Edgar was that both he and his wife came across as nice people when we first talked to them and we still retain that impression at the end of the project. For muscular construction people, effortlessly moving around 60 pound concrete blocks, Edgar and his crew are a remarkably humble bunch willing to listen to your concerns. The project started on time and was completed on time. Edgar gets my thumbs up!

Prestige Gardens and his owner Cully deserves my highest recommendation for the following reasons - Ownership: Cully owned the project to deliver on time and with quality Engagement: He kept me fully transparent of the progress and engaged me to suggest changes and even ask opinions on choice of materials. Quest for Quality: He looked around and identified the few things that he would like to do to ensure overall bigger value. He trimmed my backyard trees to the right size even when it was not in scope. He also indicated his displeasure on a few overgrown vegetation in my front yard (totally unrelated work) and offered to trim them without bothering for extra money. Timeliness: Our original estimate was within 7 to 10 days, he completed in 7 days. Proper closure: Post project during the walkthrough we identified a few gaps. While some were by myself, a few were noted by him. With trust, I paid him the second and the last payment but he did appear again a few days later to close the gaps. This included buying some extra materials (pavers, glues, sand) as well as labor. Professionalism: He is the only person amongst 6 other contractors I talked to, who provided me a proper hand drawn sketch with exact sizes, and a detailed breakdown of the cost. His talk and all dealings were sincere and professional. He and his crew were meticulous and hard working. Can work in uncertainties: Our project included dismantling a deck and we were not sure of the ground below it. With certain assumptions we came up with the original estimate. After dismantling the deck, we found that there was hard concrete below and big roots under the soil and concrete. This needed extra work and material. He discussed with me the contingency plans but kept costs in control and did not charge me an extra penny.

As quoted, on time, neat and clean! They repaired the chimney & replaced the cap, installed stucco over the cement block/brick to seal the chimney from further deterioration. I would recommend them again. Reasonably priced and quality work.

I just had a new patio installed by Allstar Development and am very pleased with the outcome. After searching for several contractors I decided on Allstar because of the professional approach provided by George Spillmann. After meeting George and talking through my needs and concerns, I decided to go ahead with using Allstar for completing the project. What impressed me was that George did what he said he would do. Initially he scheduled an onsite meeting and then submitted a professional proposal. He also made some adjustments to allow me to apply the accent and sealer the next day. Not only did he provide the material for the accent and sealer but he also took the time to explain how to apply it and provided some of the needed tools. Everything went well with all of his suppliers showing up on time and completing the job as specified.

Fantastic!! Raul, was tasked with finishing a two car garage. His assistant and him started with studded walls and an old 2 door car entrance, when finished my garage looked like show room finish!! Raul didn't stop there, he went the extra mile to improve on the look of the room and added his expert touches every where. Moving power lines, cable runs and anything else behind sheetrock out of site. The new powered garage doors look and function great!! Look forward to calling on Raul and J&R Construction in the future!!

Washington Lawns has been our choice of landscaping for the last several years. On the street where we live the homes have a steep ivy covered hillside in the back that extends about 50 feet down to a footpath. Bryans crew comes out twice a year and trims back that ivy from our retaining wall and the five Cedar trees that grow on that hillside. Our neighbor always commented on how nice our part of the hillside looks and asked for Washington Lawns to quote a cleanup on her property. Bryan said that the ivy growth was a least 5 feet deep in many areas. She requested it cut down to about five inches above the ground from her retaining wall to just before the footpath. She wanted it done within a weeks time for an upcoming event and Bryan honored her request. The crew worked over the weekend and had to carry the debris a block down the path to where they could load it on the truck and off to the dump. She accepted the bid and Bryan had his best guys here for two days and the job was completed to her requests. One of the days it was raining and the hillside was of course very slippery.I dont know of another landscaper that could handle everything so quickly and professionally. It sure makes giving their name out a pleasure.

I'm a semi-retired contractor that uses subcontractors on a regular basis. The project is a complicated tile shower and tub layout requiring several phases and coordination between his crew and my people. Its been a pleasure to working with IRC and I look forward to working with them in the future. They're real pros.

Jeremy is a highly skilled, reliable contractor, which is rare these days. He arrived on time, did great work, and finished in less time than expected. He did a great job fixing my roof and cleaned up after himself. I plan to rehire him to do a window for me and have already referred him to friends. He just completed the kitchen of a friend of mine who has had bad luck with other contractors. He did great work and she is very happy. This guy is the real deal. He also turned out to be a really nice guy. Hire him. You won't be sorry.

They came when they said they would, left everything perfect with no mess to clean up and finished on time! I would highly recommend them for any landscaping job! Quyen and his crew were so thoughtful and respectful.

We have worked with Chris off and on for years doing various projects for our rental properties and home I live in now. I have had him remodel kitchens, bathrooms, outside work which has included additions, fences, decks, rebuilding my garage, repaving my driveway, building a retaining wall, installing windows, doors, floors, fans, waterproofing, you name it he's done it for me including foreclosed properties. What I really like about this company is the rates are reasonable, hes a great listener and communicator and his wife helps him run the day to day operations with emails and office work so he's not so overworked. I have hired contractors in the past that have came in demoed the job, demand more money or they disappear. Chris has either asked for a deposit and paid as work has progressed, paid hourly and than paid weekly, or what have you. Even if something did interfere with being on that job daily, he always has told me via email or called and he always keeps me updated on how things are going or if there were extra costs involved, we were notified immediately. I think most contractors try to do the work, the estimates, get materials, do the office work by themselves and i think it gets them into trouble not being able to be at three places at once so they do really well. The only complaint i have is he might show up late once in awhile but I know running a company isn't easy, I am self employed as well. I highly recommend him and his company to do remodeling and repairs. Very professional and they fix any work that has been paid for or charged for free. I have never had an issue getting him back out here to fix something that I wanted done differently or organically didn't stay put. I am avaliable for personal referrals.
