Had weak router and purchased Consumer Reports recommended router (Linksys AC2600) for wired computer running Windows 10 and accessing multiple rooms and devices. After a frustrating five hours of following instructions and multiple Google searches and YouTube viewing, I gave up . Oh yes, I did try Linksys forgettable online live help. Bruce solved all and, with time left over, installed an option for future devices which would be using 5 Gig connections. Also, if router placement suggestions (which he actually tested) for optimum reception and, if extension was to be made from Comcast modem to another room location, purchasing flat vs round cable. . Appreciated his fixed cost and promptness. A unexpected pleasant experience.

I needed help fast and Bruce was tied up so he contacted David who was closer to my office anyway. David arrived within two hours (at about 4 pm). He stayed until the job was done and my computer was back up and running that evening. Very reasonably priced also.

I've used Puget Sound Computer Help three times and been extremely pleased with the results. I've recommended them to five of my clients and several of my friends. The first was for help with setting up a wireless network for my PC to access. He showed me how to make sure that mine wasn't competing with the signal strength with other nearby networks. What I learned from that experience I was able to use to set up my parents network. The second was when I mentioned to Bruce Miller, the owner how tired I was of seeing ads pushed to me on my computer. He showed me how to download and install a host file and reduced my ads 95%. The interesting thing was that my computer is now operating faster because it doesn't have all that ad cluttered bandwidth to process. I was also able to test this when I went to my parents and used their ancient Wireless G Apple network. A third time was when I was wanted to set up dedicated phone lines for my QuickBooks and Quicken set up, review, training, and troubleshooting business in Seattle. He told me about an affordable device on Amazon that uses the Internet, helped me buy it, sign up for a very inexpensive monthly charge ($1.49 a month and 2 cents? a minute, much less than having Century Link or Comcast), and configure the lines. Now when line 1 rings, I know it is from my Craig's List ads and for line 2, I know the call is from someone who saw my profile on Yelp (rhymes with whelp). Using these lines has improved my marketing.

Bruce referred me to David for help with recovering and transferring data on my laptop. I contacted David and he was very knowledgable, he was super efficient and quick, I got my laptop back with all the data the next day, which was a much quicker turn around than I expected. I'd definitely use their services again.

Bruce has helped me several times with computer issues (always successfully!), Once when moving to a newer computer and to Windows 7, all at the same time. He got all my old files moved and saved and even wrote a guide on how to do it next time. He helped me bring my wife's long dormant Dell laptop to life and hooked up to the Web. He has great patience with my ignorance and is never condescending - no geek speak. He has a busy life, but always finds some time to assist with one of my difficulties. Good teacher! Roger Brooking
