I (the owner) deeply care about the work I perform and the output quality of my services. A big difference between PC-resQ and other tech services, is that rates are based on a per-job basis. Charging per-time can be quite intransparent. When we talk about more in-depth issues, we make sure the clients understands what is being said/done. Put simply, I enjoy working on computers. I enjoy seeing how they're assembled, the technology advancements and the challenge of it all - be it hardware or software.

Andrei replaced a fan in my laptop that had stopped working, and cleaned inside where I could not reach. His hours were flexible and price quote was very reasonable compared to quotes that I had received from others. He was very quick with the repairs and extremely professional. I would hire again with any future issues with my computers.

After looking around for a good, qualified computer tech who was able to repair my laptop I happened onto Andrei. He worked over and above my expectations and fixed my computer at a reasonable cost. I got what I asked for and believe a bit more, I had the exact amout of money on me that was quoted on the phone, the work came to more, but he smiled, (think he realized I was a senior), took the money and left, also left me a contact device on my computer to reach him, the work took longer than I wanted but I have a computer now and have been using it ever since / Terry Logan

Thanks so much for the review, Terry. It was great to meet you and Brindle! Terry had a slow laptop and needed some help figuring out the display configurations and web browser settings, reset passwords, etc. The plan was to upgrade the hard drive, but it turned out it was failing. I had to save the OS install so that she could keep things just as she knew them, because that's important for the wise among us. That involved data recovery methods which took a while, and that's what caused the delay. Given the circumstances, the large majority of that fee was waved. Capped off the service with some remote-support help for font size adjustments, resetting passwords and making sure she could order groceries online.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    I try to be very clear about charges and rates fairly early on in the meeting process. In most scenarios I will quote a job and perform the work for a flat fee. The hourly rate is usually applied when I have to be on-site and/or responding to an un-planned event or to an open-ended situation.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    Virus & malware removal, Laptop Screen Replacement, Data Recovery,Tune-up / clean up, DC Jack Repair / charging port repair.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    - Always ask for a quote before hand, including parts. - Ask for references and/or read reviews. - Never pay up-front, and if you must, let it be half or less. - Technician must have their own tools - Technician should act and dress professionally.
